Full swing with my Redmi 1S.

Now on spare battery.....no need tangle with wire.

Compare to Moto G with similar spec...I would say the battery performance is on par for both phones. But overall performance, I still prefer Moto G which has smooth UI on KitKat and the Google Now launcher is much cleaner.

Just to confirm, the Redmi 1S is exactly the same size and design as the Hongmi 1S right? As far as I can tell they're the same thing but with a different processor inside. I'm shopping for accessories and some of these listings are ambiguous as hell.

Hongmi = Redmi
Just different in pronouce in chinese 红米 & English 红= RED mi=Rice but pinyin is Mi.

And FYI, the one you should compare is Redmi 1 (aka Hongmi 1) vs Redmi 1S

There's a lot of complaint about this phone from miui forum.
I have faith that there will be a good stable ROM coming from the MIUI team - especially the Malaysia team.
I am holding on this phone & kept my Nexus as spare phone for time being.

So far for me Wechat got to log in everyday!
Some apps do forced closed sometimes namely TOS
Minimized TOS will hv to restart app again (cant remember for waze)
Dump iOS-liked launcher cant hv several short cut for a single app cos no app drawer.
Email checking frequency longest period is 1hr. No custom or longer than 1hr.
No complaint for camera, quite good though

was wondering. what type of screen protector you all have?

got any source where we can buy tempered glass sp?

oh yeah, and how much was the bundle? for the phone, extra battery and etc?

I use the bundled screen protector.
The price for the bundle is 483 minus 419 for the phone.
That is 64 ringgit.
You will get sp, soft case, extra battery, extra battery charger.

I already flash to CN v29, rooted, install google play, and install ram expander. And I got extra 3gb of ram.
Need to test2 kaw tommorow and I will give the perfomance review.
Fisrt impression, open up 6 tab + calculator seems working flawlessly.
