Hi Honda City Team, New Member Join In (Jeffreynsx / V Spec / Alabaster Silver Metallic / Klang Valley). Booked This Car On 12th May, 2014 And From The Honda Showroom Found Out The Flaws That Come With This Car Such As Dashboard Gap, Armrest Not Aligned In Center, Rattling Sound And Etc...I Really Suspect Whether Honda Malaysia Do Check For Quality Inspection Before Deliver The Car To Customer. Somemore Hari Raya Aidilfitri Is Coming Soon, A Lot Of Potential Customer Will Come And Buy New Car To Balik Kampung. Not Sure Whether This Time Round Receive The Car Will Incurred Additional Issue Due to Mass Production To Fulfill Customer Expectation In Tight Period Of Time. I Still Consider Whether Is The Right Way to Upgrade My Current Honda City V Spec to Honda Civic 1.8S as Quality Wise For Honda Civic Will Be Much Better In Term Of Quality Materials. May I Know Is There Anyone Of You Found Out Any Flaws Come From Honda Civic 1.8S? I Need to Compile All The Information Before Finalize My Decision to Switch To Honda Civic. Thank you.

Hi Pink Spider, thanks for your update as I do arrange for a test drive and it's really a powerful car for C segment category. With this price tag, it is well equipped with features as compare to competitors such as Toyota Vios and Nissan Almera. Overall, thanks for your advise on this cars. But, I do need you all advise in terms of loan agreement, as I known bank had approved my loan but the loan agreement will last for how long as for my understanding the car need to arrive at showroom and let us see the chasis number and further checking before signing the agreement. Hence, may I know the contract can last more than 1 month period? Thank you.

Hi Pink Spider, noted on your advise and hope my car will arrive soon. From the Honda Website, I can see Honda do offer for Combination Leather seat for Honda City. May I know is there anyone know the price offer from Honda Malaysia? Apart from that, for the Navigation and Reverse Camera...I heard My SA said at the end of next month, Honda Malaysia will come out with a Navigation + Reverse Camera package in which I'm interested on it. Hope can get the good news soon...

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Jun 23 2014, 11:59 AM) this one almost everyone's car got, the sound from driver side power window which occurs: (1) when u fully wind up the window, it will "thud" (this is normal) then followed by a "kraaak" (this is NOT) (2) window fully closed/open halfway when driving over uneven/rough road, similar "kraaak" sound will come on and off this is all I got for now (touch wood ) Hi Pink Spider, If Go Through Uneven Road Got Kraaak Sound and Winding Up Windows Also Having The Same Issue, You Should Report to Honda Service Centre As It Is Unacceptable In Which We Paid RM90k ++ and Get This Outcome. My Current Toyota Vios Year 2004 Until Today Did Not Even Have This Noise When Go Through Uneven Road Surface, Only Dashboard Having Little Noise Due to The Car Reach 10 Years. So, it is still acceptable.

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jun 23 2014, 12:22 PM) I have to agree...this is not kancil wei ..must complain to SC...if lots of people have same issue, band together and pressure them like VW owners. If just winding up and down windows got sound, ok lah...if driving also got sound then kennot accept. By the way Pink Spider....Have you tinted your car only have this noise appear or before you tinted your car already have this noise? This is what we concerned about as Honda Malaysia will ask you back this question. If this car tinting is done by SA, we can complaint to SA directly to get a quick fix. Otherwise, Honda will push this incident back to you by informing you that due to your car tinting did not qualified their standard, then this rattling noise issue will exist. In which at the end you cannot blame them.

QUOTE(kaka90 @ Jun 23 2014, 10:24 PM) Guys did u heard any noise at the back side when drive slowly in taffic jam..not the 40km sound..this sound only noticeable when drive slow..u nee to turn off your audio to hear it..quite worrying..huhu Hi Kaka90, seems like a lot of issue happen on Honda cars and it is kinda worried me even before my SA called me to collect the car. Based on all your feedback, I still consider whether is a good decision to switch to Toyota Corolla Altis as this car is assembled from Thailand and in terms of quality issue, should be well maintain as compare with local assembled car. I buy car not only consider for handling and feature, but it's also need to be long lasting for the next 10 years. So far, Toyota cars reliability is there and without doubt did not give me any problem when I drive my current car. Even Honda daringly come out with 5 years unlimited mileage warranty, but build up quality already an issue and mechanical wise did not able to fix the issue in a correct way, no point to get this upcoming car. I really suspect whether Honda car really up to the standard to train their workers on build for quality and not build for quantity like our local manufacturer cars in which paying high price but getting cheap car to drive in town. Hope you all understand the situation as we pay almost RM90k ++ but getting the car not up to standard. I don't mind fork out another RM30k ++ to ensure quality is there and reliability is proven.

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jun 24 2014, 07:51 AM) Joined yesterday. Are you Toyota salesman?? Keep comparing City with Altis for what? Don't understand C segment vs B segment? Dont understand RM125k vs RM90k??? The low end Altis cost RM115k minimum and don't even have VSA. RM55K Picanto also got. Our poorfag City E-Spec cost RM 80k+ also has one. Please go compare VIOS with CITY. Go look at VIOS thread and see how many people complaining there. You can afford RM125k , pls go buy Cerato 2.0, Mazda 3, Altis or something nice in the C-Segment. Don't keep complaining here. Hell, if i can afford to pay another RM40K, i also dun want City!! I'm not Toyota Salesman here but I'm the end user for Toyota cars. What I means is a car need to build for quality and not simply build up a car and at the end have problem occur. I read the previous comment for the users who drive Honda City and realise why there are so many problem here and there in which we pay for a rattling sound car?

QUOTE(bleu2th @ Jun 24 2014, 08:42 AM) i go to vios thread, i can see the owner also complaint about sound and poor NVH (similar to this thread). but even if vios is quiet as continental car also i'd still choose city for safety (VSA), it will be different if vios also offer VSC then harder for me to choose, but lower end altis also don't have VSC What I understand is nowadays cars is not build for long lasting but is build for feature and safety.

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jun 24 2014, 09:12 PM) Wow...now you are Honda salesman too??? You speak so confidently, so i was right you are Toyota salesman after all, only a salesman will have inside info of when all the stocks coming...(including competitor's) But thanks for the info. PS: Got Ferrari or not?? Any discount? Free Ferrari keychain?? Info can be obtained from your SA if they willing to share with you since you had booked the car and they also need your settlement ASAP. As for salesman, I'm not a salesman but a customer from Toyota Malaysia in which giving my own feedback on the overall car condition that I experience currently for my old Toyota car. Without doubt old car still better than current car in terms of build for quality but then in terms of feature and safety become the priority for current consumer, quality wise is being compromised.

QUOTE(kevin1976 @ Jun 25 2014, 10:56 PM) Conti feels great...a lot better than the good year so called "excellence" tyres...feels crap!....so much about the name...i prefer michelins...but they dont have 195/50/16.....sigh.....used the Pilot series on my other car and feels super! Hi kevin1976, Michelin do have size 185/55R16 tyres....they called Michelin Energy XM2. So far from the customer review they claimed is quiet and more braking power compare to other conventional tyres. You may check it out from the Michelin website to get more info...If I not mistaken the price is RM308/each. Currently I'm using Michelin Pilot Sport 3 and I gotta say this tyres are really do their job well by observing any flaws on the road and have superior handling on corner. But Michelin Pilot Sport Series unfortunately did not come with Honda City 16 inch with 185 measurement size. This post has been edited by Jeffreynsx: Jun 26 2014, 06:03 AM

Hi Team, I have an enquiry regarding to the drum brake that equipped in current Honda City 1.5. May I know is the braking power is the same as previous generation Honda City as claimed by SA as well as being told by Paul Tan car review magazines? In my understanding drum brake will need to have longer distance for braking but now they come with VSA, Brake Assist, ABS and EBD. Will all this gadget able to shorten the brake distance? How about during wet condition and the driver need to press few times on the brake before able to ensure the brake calipers are not faded during raining season? May need you all advise on this...

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jun 30 2014, 09:09 AM) IMO, all the current Android car players are half baked with old OS (as old as Android 2.3!!) and blardy expensive (way over RM2k). I think it's not worth the money....Google is now actively making real Android CAR HU with all major car manufacturers (except maybe Toyota... )...its better just to buy a normal touchscreen HU or wait until a real Android car HU comes out rather than these expensive half baked outdated solutions. Just ask the SA to turn off the ECON mode. I only engage in D gears only. If you havent drive CVT before, maybe you also mistook the "no sudden shift jerk" as underpower. CVT smooth transmission is great for passenger comfort and there is no "sudden pull" like manual or traditional torque converter. Hi Matrix, had tried to test drive Toyota Altis 1.8E and I realised this car also have some minor issue. Front Passenger and Driver Side Windows have rattling sound, is annoying. But interior space is wider compare to Honda City but left behind a lot of good features such as Cruise Control, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist and Etc. In terms of their Fabric Seat, it is also not as comfortable as Honda City and Honda Civic.
