i checked my  OCBC Ti card.

Started using  from 9.11.12.

my anniversary GST RM50 was due 21.11.13. I was given annual bonus RM50 on 21.11.13 to  pay for the GST. NO 2nd yr AF!

3rd yr,  i called CS on 21.10.14- wanted to cancel card. They told me AF FOC !. also said  GST RM50 due on 21.11.14, i paid RM50 , they credited 50% for me ie RM25. SO  i still continue to use the card til now. If must pay AF time to cancel.
*
af is already free for life, just the gst rm50 is what we concern about.

didnt really add, i got cash back monthly RM50x 2 from MBB Amex x 2, RM100x2 from Wise cardx2, quarterly RM150 from Watami card.
this month more as overflow to OCBC so much,  OCBC bill 15k, 1% =RM150.
*
i think your monthly expenses really same like me. maximising all mbb2amex x2, wise x2, and watami. then bt around to one another at 0%. and this month my ocbc statement also shot up due to few insurances.

I have no banking product with OCBC.
*
you mean you used to have banking product with ocbc but already cancelled right? so you mean they still have not remove your contact from their marketing list? perhaps you may call the cs to remove your contact totally from their list.

Last time when I registered interest on credit card online application landing page, I didn't got any feedback.
Last week when I registered again my interest in the website, an officer called me next day and follow up with me two days later.
I didn't know they no longer issue MasterCard. Hence he push me to apply for the GE co-brand card since I insist a card come with free af. He said will call me again on next Monday. ohmy.gif
They push really hard this time.
*
it's good to get the ge co-brand card if you have ge insurance. and even if you don't, this is also the only card offering you 1% for everything as their other cc have been discontinued.

Man, I think I need to cancel this card already. Im being charged interest, despite paying more than I owe. I thought 2 days late should just incur late payment charge instead of interest. I think I better stick with HLB Wise as I had an active account which can just click pay outstanding amount instead of having to relogin everytime to check the amount owed and still being charged.
*
if it's your first time, you can always call the cs to waive the late charges and interest charges.

I saw the recent FB sponsored link that new OCBC CC is offering 0.5% uncapped rebate. Is it true? Previously was 5%, then 1% and now 0.5%? If so, byebye to OCBC.
*
if you own ocbc cc with 1%, it will still be maintained.

Refer OCBC Website - Mastercard Blue

And on Ringgitplus OCBC only available Silver/Platinum Mastercard..means have to apply to bank directly?
*
the ocbc blue/pink has been discontinued for quite some time already. if you are looking for 1% unlimited, the only choice is ocbc ge. nod.gif

thanks for prompt answer smile.gif

any hidden t&c / fee need to highlight?

in general if do not have ocbc account will it be a hassle to pay to ocbc cc etc?

any other comments on general banking performance of this bank, online banking, customer service?

1% uncapped rebate is good enuf  rclxms.gif
*
nowadays with ibg only cost 10 cent per transaction to pay from another bank's account to any other bank's account including cc. so far so good for ocbc, i don't have any issue with them except for their cashback reduction from 5% to 1%. lol...
