Conclave will be on the Exile side. TRE on the opposite, either faction will be fine.

Here's are some ways you can do to improve your performance.. copy from somewhere else...
But as Carbine always said "developers are listening, they r moving 50% of their force to focus on the Optimizations.. hopefully we all are able to enjoy smoother gameplay during launch *Credits to Archos* Approach 1: DirectX9 The first suggestion that was proposed by many users was to force Wildstar to run in DirectX9, as it appears that DirectX10 and 11 have had some serious issues with optimization. The process in order to do this is quite simple. Right-click the shortcut icon on your Desktop Select Properties You'll notice under the Shortcut tab, that there is a box called Target In this box it should list the location of your Wildstar installation. We need to slightly modify this line in order to force DirectX9 mode. At the very end of your target, enter a space, followed by the text -dx9 For example, my target box is as follows: "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\WildStar\Wildstar.exe" -dx9 Approach 2: Windows XP Compatibility The next approach that I found was to change the compatibility of the game, which forces the client to download a 32-bit version. Right-click your Desktop shortcut Select Properties This time, switch the the Compatibility tab Check off the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" button, and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3). The next time you launch the game, the patcher should download the 32-bit client. NOTE: Other users have suggested that this fix doesn't actually change anything, but it's worth a shot! Approach 3: In-Game Settings This approach is one you may have already attempted yourself, but it's worth placing it here for users who it may not have occurred to, or that are overwhelmed and confused by the in-game video settings Target Scale: The first option to try on the video screen is the Render Target Scale slider. This has something to do with anti-aliasing, so it is worth noting that turning this slider will get you some FPS gain, but not without the cost of a fairly grotesquely pixellated experience. Vertical Sync: Ensure that this option is turned off. You may experience some frame tearing, but a bit of frame tearing won't be an issue if you can't play at more than 10fps. Quality: Don't be stubborn. We all know that this is a beautiful game, but until optimization occurs your machine may not be able to perform at the level of quality that you expect. Try turning everything to Low or Off if possible, and then work your way up. Be creative! Texture Filtering: If you're confused by what each of these means, and are experiencing lag, then switch to Bilinear. Thing of it this way: Anisotropic - Best Quality, Most FPS loss Trilinear - Medium Quality, Medium FPS loss Bilinear - Lowest Quality, Least FPS loss Approach 4: Nvidia Control Panel This is the one that really fixed it for me. I'm playing the game on an Nvidia NVS 4200m (laptop) gpu, which is actually really weak for gaming. It occurred to me after messing with in-game settings, that certain settings such as texture filtering and AA did not really have an OFF option. I decided to take it upon myself to enter the Nvidia Control Panel to see what kind of fix I could come up with. NOTE: This solution only works for PCs/Laptops with Nvidia gpus. If you have an AMD GPU and have figured out how to fix this using that, please post here, so that others may see! In the Start menu, type "Nvidia," and the NVIDIA Control Panel should appear for you to click on. Select Manage 3D Settings in the task column on the left side of the window. From here, select the Program Settings tab. Wildstar will not appear on the list of programs which you can customize, so you will have to press the Add button. Navigate to your install directory for Wildstar, and select the Wildstar.exe. If you have NVIDIA Optimus functionality on your gpu, ensure that you select your non-integrated gpu from the dropdown menu. Here are the settings that I chose that seemed to help: HERE Approach 5: Update Graphics Drivers If all else fails, try updating your graphics card drivers! Using approaches 1, 2 and 4, I was able to get my FPS up to 30 fps on my laptop. I really hope that this post can help others to enjoy their beta weekends. If you have any suggestions, please post them here and I will try them and add them to the post! Best of luck, and I hope to see you all in Nexus! There's 2 more Command that u can use ingame by lowering the grahpics and boost your performance a lil bit further.. Release by Carbine Studiosstaff /eval Apollo.SetConsoleVariable("lod.renderTargetScale", 0.5) This will "pixelate" the screen a little; 1.0 is full screen. I wouldn't recommend going above 1.0 For PVP or Raiders, you might also try changing /eval Apollo.SetConsoleVariable("spell.visualSuppression", 0.75) This will suppress visual effects if there are too many cast spells on the screen. Setting it to 0 will supress nothing, 1.0 will suppress all spell casts but their own. Keep in mind that these settings will persist on log out. QUOTE(Lordz` @ May 27 2014, 11:10 PM) Hi there Eldest, Hi Lordz,We are looking for a hardcore PvP guild to join, will TRE be focusing much on PvE (raids etc) or PvP? Just curious are you guys mainly local? Generally, I would say that the guild encourages players to do both - PvP and PvE. However, we do have players in the guild that are only PvP focused and some that are only PvE focused. While in most games, PvE (raids, etc) requires more coordination and organization and PvP is pretty much FFA (Free-for-All) organized based on members online. I would say that in Wildstar we would be doing something different due to the end game Warplots PvP (40-man). I think that Warplots is something that our players would want the guild to participate in managing and organizing. The guild will be organizing and running Warplots groups while Battlegrounds / Arena Teams will still be FFA. Yes, most of us are Malaysians / Singaporeans Cheers, -Ben This post has been edited by Eldest: May 28 2014, 07:29 AM |
