I just logged in to show my appreciation for TS.
Sir, thank you very very very very much for this idea of updating the firmware.
It solved the problem of random disconnection during gaming like, INSTANTLY!
The firmware really stabilize the Riger router.

I can now play games with no insecure feeling of getting random disconnect during gaming.
This update is very recommended for everyone.
Just follow the easy steps and, enjoy!

THANK YOU, SIR!

Edit: Solved below

I upgraded the firmware following this guide many months ago, but I've never reset it to factory settings. It has not give me any problem until today after the reset, I can't connect to the internet anymore (the light for internet is constantly on and DSL is off).

What I did:

1. Reset to factory default settings
2. Run quick start wizard
3. Change time zone, enter username and password, change vpi value from 8 to 0 (0/35), setup wlan then save
4. Change channel to Malaysia

Any idea what am I missing? I tried deactivating all the PVC except PVC0 and set it to 0/35 as well but no luck.

Ah, it shouldn't be because I'm using the same account on this older modem right now.

Go to "Advanced Setup" -> "ADSL"

ADSL Mode change to "Auto Sync-Up".

ADSL Type change to "ANNEX A/I/J/L/M"

restart modem.

That was the setting. But I changed it to ADSL2 and it is working now. Thanks!

If you didn't reset to factory default after flashing, you will suffer with TM WiFi back doors, people can use your internet without need to crack
