I managed to buy Zenfone 5 A501CG (1.6Ghz processor, 2GB RAM and 8GB ROM) at Thunder Match Midvalley. Original Asus set with 1-year warranty at the price of RM599.

Stock came in yesterday according to them. They're left with 2 units of Gold color only as of 12.30! Harvey Norman and Asus outlet still out of stock.

I just received my ZF4. The back case is sooooo difficult to open!!

Can't confirm this because i'm not into OTG. But forummers' here have posted that ZF5 can't support.

Yea. Try opening side-to-side, beginning from the side without buttons. Salesperson showed me the way of opening ZF5 and it doesn't look too difficult. He emphasized that more force is needed to pry it open.

All it got say it 2.0 cpu but 8gb internal...but pc is 1.6 dual core 2gb ram....

just call directd, all IT , jayacom , seven mobile. zenfone 4 and 5 sold out already. restock next week but dont know what day and model will arrive

any news on zenfone 6?

maybe what my friend bought yesterday is the same as yours. i also confused because he told me that his zf5 is 2.0gb. maybe he confused between ram and processor. btw since the ram is 2.0gb for me it was quite a deal compared to only 1.0gb ram b4 this.

ZenFone 5 and 6 doesn't support OTG. Currently only ZF4 supports OTG only, unless someone mod the kernel and let it support OTG.

But according to some sources, ZF5 actually does support however, if you have separated power supply for it your USB device. Because ZF5 USB port does not output voltage to USB devices so it won't power up and detect.

Are u sure ZF4 supports OTG?? I will buy one OTG cable if it does support USB OTG.

I got big major problem with this phone.

I am using Celcom and U-Mobile. My SIM 1 slot with Celcom. My SIM 2 slot with U-Mobile.

Both Calls and Messaging received in and send out also no problem.

My Celcom no data plan only calls and message.

My U-Mobile is a data plan + calls and message.

When i on Mobile Data. Normally the data will come in and i can surf web and whatsapp and do things related to internet.

The problem is when i on Mobile Data there were no data and when someone call in my phone both line also malfunction at the notification bar on the top the line both change to X sign means no line. After that i need to restart my phone to get the line back. I don`t know why is this happening and did anyone here also face the same problem.

sorry for my wrong info. it is confirmed that the spec is 1.6ghz processor, 2.0gb ram and 8gb rom. it is original set by Asus and warranty is 1 year. sorry again.
