you guys opinions really help me to gain some ideas for one of my lifetime decision which range I shall go through. Thanks man!
it's seem like I need to spend some time to visit few reputable jewelers this two weeks,
with my requirement now, I guess I shall go for range between 0.5-0.75.
if rm12k only manage to get 0.3 carat, that really small and isnt generous !?
from my observation my girlfriend seem like Ti&C this brand very much ..*Headache now*

Haha, to get the T&co box from taobao really a bad idea! But I like ur creativity:P
I suddenly found a lot of Bros here, perhap found some sisters here also. That's pretty great to know the different kind of sharing here!
Yup, those PK, SK, WChan isn't in my ideal selection too as in traditionally category them as gold sellers, I visited those shops a lot mainly to buy a small piece of gold for mom, or newphew and niece kind of family members.

Do you guys have any opinion about wedding band in T& co? What's is the price range ?

At least I can't get an engagement ring from T&co so I think of alternative way there is choosing wedding band with my fiancé after proposal in T&Co, let her happy for a short moment.

I did ask for quotation from the relative gemologist to custom made a rings.
with my budget RM10k I only manage to choose the range 0.5carat and white gold ring.
she said 0.7carat most likely cost rm20k with the spec i required like excellent cut, E-F color, VS1.

will it be too small for 0.5carat? please advise.
I read singaporen hardware forum mentioned, survey average US got 1carat for engagement ring?

Dear all bro here,

in the end after listen to bros lowyat advise here i decided to go without brand as value is more important than brand "T" basic,

I did custom made diamond 0.55carat, G, VS1, cut excellent, other grading all excellent with "lotus kind of design holder" white gold ring with GIA certification. Anyway its price between RM12-15K from supplier, which cheaper est 3-4k from local jewellery.

from naked eyes even though isn't that big "5.23-5.28mm" but shining enough.

QUOTE(kambingkoh @ May 18 2017, 11:22 AM)
It is always more value for money than buying a branded one as far as diamond is concerned. All round brilliant will still have to be cut to 57 facets and all the stones are from good old mother earth. The only thing that separates each diamond is how skillful the cutter is in terms of cutting the diamond. I am not sure whether "T" brand has their own cutters or not, but my guess is that they buy diamonds in bulk in Antwerp or India from various cutters. I believe this is how other brand works as well. In other words, I believe all diamond brands are OEM from those places.

However, if that is not the case, and "T" brand does have their own cutters, then it still boils down on how skillful they are and how much weight they want to retain. Solely relying on brand and say that they are the best is really not enough these days. However, I will agree that brand is important to some people, including me, depending on what kind of things we are talking about. If "T" is the brand that makes one happy, and it is within affordability of the buyer, why not. You just have to go from there and choose the best there is to offer. "Value for money" is very subjective for different people.

All right! Now, congrats on making for your final decision. G VS1 is an excellent choice as it brings great value. The final price is not decide yet? There is 3k difference! Mind sharing who is vendor?
