GIA number is nothing secretive. You can always download the grading report from their website. Wah Chan will give you the cert number as far as I know.

Depends on the cut. If it is in ideal proportions, then it is quite okay to be around 6K. If not, then it is not. I can afterall settle for a D VS1, 0.313 WhiteFlash ACA @USD 972 (Use exchange rate 4.57) Add on 6% GST and a custom setting by Memory Jewellery, it will be around RM 5700 to RM 5800. If you take predefined setting from Memory Jewellery, you can probably settle at somewhere around RM 5500 to RM 5600. If you want setting with palladium content, then you can look for iDo Jewellery, which is more epxenaive, but final price should be around RM 6500 to RM 6600.

If you want a price range on how much a 0.3ct costs, then you can survey on Audrey's website. Just google Audrey's Malaysia.

And last 2 years USD did not shoot up. Lol. And also, not all the diamonds are cut to the same proportions, so beware if something is too cheap to be true, unless you only want to focus on carat, colour, and clarity only, but not cut.

Please see remark at the side of each GIA cert number. The acceptable one is okay, but since the pairing is steep crown + steep pavilion, the performance should be so so only as well. And now I notice it has twinning wisps and feather with unknown location! Check if the feather is near the edge or not.

It really depends on how much each of these are selling. My guess is that diamonds that are for sale are usually so-so in terms of performance. They won't put up something that can guarantee to sell easily. If you noticed, you hardly come by diamonds between 34 degrees to 35 degrees crown angle... that angle is the ideal angle for round brilliant.
