white look like fake. im sure most ppl will pick silver or black if both option are available. since we can only get silver color locally, no choice. later need to find bumper/casing.
*
manalah fake..it's original as it is. laugh.gif

QUOTE(ralfmars83 @ May 18 2014, 11:01 PM)
In the end we all use case. What we see is only the black bezel. Hehe
*

I like the front logo placed at left side and look great too
*
ya, it will look empty without the MI logo in front. Seems like 1 black panel only.

Found out that using analog clock widget save battery compared to digital one. Battery won't even drop 1% when in sleep mode for an hour.

QUOTE(noobandroid @ May 19 2014, 10:11 AM)
i think it's not the digital or analog clock, but the weather widget used that is draining, cause it needs incremental time sync for weather

btw im curious what bloats are in the miui, i might need to freeze some that i wont be using, soon when i get my unit
*
Yes, might be the weather widget.

QUOTE(Connect2USales @ May 19 2014, 10:48 AM)

*

QUOTE(noobandroid @ May 19 2014, 11:08 AM)

QUOTE(siren @ May 19 2014, 11:51 AM)
The problem with Xiaomi is beside MIUI ROM, there is no other ROMs available to flash I guess?

I mean compare to HTC, there are Viper ROM, ARHD, Insert Coin, Renovate etc etc

Maybe I am wrong, anyone can give advice?
*
Yes, for MI3, so far I see none other than MIUI. For Mi2/Mi2s they got other rom though.

distribution : 1k unit for sialcom, 1k unit for yellow worm, 1k unit for maxshit, 1k general market

1st wave tomorrow gonna be big! SG, general market, sialcom, yellow worm, maxshit all gonna raid it, gold rush babeh!!
*
You sure they will distribute the units like that? That 4k unit not specifically for Mi.com only?

QUOTE(andyjyneo @ May 19 2014, 01:36 PM)
Yes, brand based OS is the most stable among all, but not necessary stable translates to good.
I always go for custom ROM because I don't want bloatwares to haunt me.

Conclusion, rooting and custom ROM is not for the faint hearted.
Back to Mi3 topic.
*
Each rom has it own good and cons. Someday I'll feel bored of MIUI too, so I do also wish there's alternative rom for MI3.

QUOTE(digilife @ May 19 2014, 03:16 PM)
why they dun include LTE connection into this model ?

wink.gif
*
QUOTE(digilife @ May 19 2014, 03:22 PM)
Not actually cheap with its price of rm889 without LTE.

Look at Huawei 3C , its a value for money, albeit lower specs.
*
You're comparing Snapdragon 800 chipset phone with a MTK chipset phone, 2.3ghz with 1.3ghz clocked cpu, Full HD screen with a 720p screen. Yeah.. doh.gif

QUOTE(nickchk89 @ May 19 2014, 03:34 PM)
damn, the postage too expensive for east malaysia,so i will skip the powerbank sad.gif
Q: Do you offer free shipping?
A: Most xiaomi products are shipped free of charge. If your order value is less than the minimum, you will incur shipping costs as follows:
EAST Malaysia - RM 25 shipping fees for orders below RM 80
WEST Malaysia - RM 15 shipping fees for orders below RM 75
KLANG VALLEY - RM 15 shipping fees for orders below RM 70
*
Buy 2 unit of powerbank, so you get free shipping. Sell 1 unit out later. icon_idea.gif

edit: oh..never saw you're from east malaysia. Add on some accessories to make it over RM80 and sell it out later.

QUOTE(Anonymous34 @ May 19 2014, 03:41 PM)
Tomorrow, I'm gonna grab one unit Of mi3 for uncle and 2 powerbanks(1 for dad and 1 for me).
That's the maximum I can buy anyways, not enough time to make another order as I have my exam. If I got the Mi3 successfully, I will try to flash gapps manually and prevent myself from registering xiaomi account. Not worth my time.
*
You already registered xiaomi account when you trying to "grab" from the mi.com/my. whistling.gif

Might be, 1 account can put multiple order, but each order limited to 1 unit of Mi3? I guess it's like that. laugh.gif
