Cut from the RAM and mobo.

The GPU is too dated (pretty much EOLed in the market) and doesn't justify in a set of 5k rig, try to get minimumly a GTX760.

Overall, I won't call it a good specs for a RM5k rig (or I should say RM4k since you spent RM1k+ for the monitor). The stuffs are good/cool/premium but they don't aid in making your rig powerful. It's better focus more punch on the GPU/GPU first b4 concentrating on fancy cool looking RAM/MOBO/CASE/COOLER.

i5 4670k (769)
Asrock Z87 Extreme4 (549)
840 EVO 250GB (559)
8GB Hyper X Fury (289)
GTX760 (799)
Decent Air cooler (200)
Antec/Seasonic PSU (300)
DVD (60)
Monitor (1180)
Speaker (130)
Sub 200 budget case (200)

Total - 5035

Thanks. Actually I'm looking to build a rig that 1. cost below RM4k excluding monitors 2. good price:performance ratio 3. overclocked and have liquid cooling 4.good looks
Your recommendation looks good, I'll try to list down a system base on that except will be using 4690K instead with Z97 board.

So are you going to extremely oc' the processor? If so this is a good setup. I don't know much bout water cooling though.
*
Yes, going to oc the system probably to the max it can handle. But it also depends on how loud will the h100i be. I'm looking to a more balance system which is powerful, quiet and nice looks tongue.gif

One more thing, these are the spec of my current PC.

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.9GHz
MOBO: Gigabyte MA770T-UD3
RAM: Kingston HyperX 1600 4x4GB
GPU: Sapphire HD5770 1GB GDDR5
HDD: 1x WD Caviar Black 1TB, 1x WD Caviar Green 1TB
PSU: Gigabye GE-M550A-D1 ODIN PRO 550W
Cooler: CM Vortex Plus
Chasis: CM Elite 430
LCD: 1x Dell W2209A, 1x Samsung SyncMaster 2253LW

Can I change my CPU and MOBO and use the rest of the hardware?
What would you recommend?

Purpose: entertainment, music, video, work

Monitor resolution: Also will be looking for 1pc W2209A (used/new) to complement my existing screen.

Wait does the entertainment includes gaming? Since Idealtech already gave you an overhaul of the system. I think the only thing that you're probably gonna reuse are the RAM and HDD lor whistling.gif
*
No, the one from Idealtech is for a new build. My current PC setup is as above and I'm gonna either use it as work pc for my wife or sell it.

I doubt if you still can find that RAM, if so at that price too.

RAM is available from idealtech, and price if promo icon_rolleyes.gif

Oh I see, imo the Athlon* X4 is still good if you're just gonna use Words or works like that. Don't need to change anything.

Ok, thanks for the advice.

Dependable, both are on par with each other, so.....it's dependable on you.

Ok thank. Reason for asking if should I just go with the 770 or spend a little over my budget to get 780 or AMD.
I guess 770 is fine.
