QUOTE(Zgames @ Jul 13 2014, 05:29 PM) 3 Generations late already. What kind of games do he likes to play? With 760 you can play on high-ultra on most games at 1080p. Some games like Crysis maybe need to tone the MSAA to get the suitable FPS. Very cheapo one and he likes to play those high end game? Crysis,Witcher 2 both of this game he play at 1600x900 reso on his 23inch monitor Looks like he will be getting one end of this month Thank you Sifu This post has been edited by Jigoku: Jul 13 2014, 05:32 PM

Sifu right now i got dilemma
My shop now say if i want MSI N760 Hawk need wait till end of this month,or i can consider Asus GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5
price for both card is
GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 RM910
or
N760 HAWK RM985
As of now my current rig gpu is dead.
Should i wait or just get the Asus? is there any difference?
Edit from the review in Newegg this asus card caught fire on most of the user rig.I am scared now..

QUOTE(Zgames @ Jul 30 2014, 07:48 PM) Sorry took a long response cause internet slowpoke. Right from what I've read in the negative review only about 2-3 caught on fire. So chances of you, your card go on fire is low. This is electronic product we're talking about. Some are good when it arrived and some are bad. Unless the whole review section filled with negatives then safe to sure that card isn't safe anymore. Also by end of this month [ July? ] why not just wait. Only a day or two till they restock the Hawk edition. sorry not end of this month. End of August

QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Jul 30 2014, 07:52 PM) I've owned the Asus GTX 760 DCUII OC before and it is one of the finest 760 out there in the market. The idle and load temps are nothing short of amazing compared to the reference solution. Nothing to worry about unnecessarily. The only difference this card would have compared to the MSI HAWK is the lower clock speed, but you can always manually tweak it yourself. Sifu the lower clock speed affect my gaming experience? will i see a lot of difference or its just nothing much? and after browsing and reading 760/770Should i also jz get a 770 like our bro here?

QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Jul 30 2014, 09:22 PM) For GTX 760, the difference is quite minimal. I did a review before comparing the Asus 760 with the Zotac 760 AMP! Edition (it has the same core clock speed as HAWK). www.tech-critter.com/2013/10/asus-gtx-760-directcu-ii-oc-review.html?m=1 GTX 770 is definitely faster. If you can afford it, then the GTX 770 is clearly the better card here. www.tech-critter.com/2013/10/gtx-titan-gtx-770-gtx-760-roundup.html?m=1 Seasonic S12II-620 620W 80Plus Bronze This PSU can handle 770?

QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Aug 1 2014, 07:29 PM) I squeezed a SSD in since your budget still allows for one. It won't increase your performance when gaming, but it may improve level loading times, improve OS booting time, and opening/reading files becomes significantly faster as well. In short, running everything on a SSD based system would feel snappier on the overall. The Hyper 212X should be able to sustain any mild OC, and should fit the G3258 just fine. Yes, it is the 2GB reference version. Actually the Striker GTX 760 is nothing more than a very exclusive GTX 760 with 4GB VRAM. I would go for the GTX 770 instead. Why don't you consider other brands? Asus' version is quite pricy. You can consider Leadtek, MSI or even Zotac AMP! Edition. Thank you boss. I think i will just wait for 770. I did consider other brand but no stock sadly.Btw the 770 good brand for performance would be 770 lightning right?

QUOTE(Zgames @ Aug 9 2014, 02:17 PM) If you want to SLI you can go on ahead. But as far as I know 600w is the sweet spot for most gamers. PS and hardcore OC-ing Dude you should've bought Windows Key lor. Around RM 50 for those. Anyhow be sure to post drills of the rig later Just check they dont have M12 and since i only use one card and i only might gonna oc the GPU Thermaltake Smart SE 630W 80Plus Bronze XIGMATEK Vector S650 80Plus Silver This 2 will do ? or these 2 brand aint that great?

QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Aug 9 2014, 02:24 PM) No issues. The PSU usually comes with 6 + 2 (2 pieces), so you just need to connect (6 + 2) + (6) to the GPU. The 6 + 2 is linked, you don't have to connect the extra 2 pins if your GOU doesn't need it. The shop telling me got issues and tell me to get one of these 3 how sifu? Seasonic M12II-750 750W 80Plus Bronze Modular Thermaltake Smart SE 630W 80Plus Bronze XIGMATEK Vector S650 80Plus Silver If take Seasonic i need to pay another extra rm100,if take Thermal or XIGMA no issue. QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Aug 9 2014, 03:17 PM) Any other 600W brands available? I am not familiar with the Smart SE and Vector, so couldn't really recommend on that. Thank for your help, its okay i will jz take the 750W although seems like way too much watt for my current rig. I will just reuse this for my end year rig later on. Not sure why they say need use 2 x 8 pin.if someone can clarify would be great
