Thanks. I'll check them out later. The 29" Dell U2913WM monitor is a unique kind. How's the quality? Any issue that will come out during use? Good for gaming? Graphics card able to support the resolution of the monitor?
What's the benefits of Xeon processor over i5 and what's the benefit of i5 over Xeon? Xeon seems more expensive and has higher clock speed. Will the integrated graphics in i5 be used if the PC has an external card?

Well, there's a lot of reviews you can found over the web..and try not to forget youtube, tho. flex.gif

Wah reference 290X. Haha. Can get cheaper for 1.7-1.8k at Viewnet, if I am not mistaken. Clearance. smile.gif. But I would spend RM200-300 more and get a non reference unit.
*
I've took the price of 290X from viewnet,tho..the Gainward's was from Lingloong.. smile.gif

[Budget] RM 3k - 4k CPU only

[Purpose] Gaming - target any new game

[Hardwares that will be re-use] None

[Monitor resolution] Plan to get ASUS MX279H

[Games & softwares that use frequently] DOTA 2/ All games

[Personal preferences] ASUS for MOBO and Kingston for RAM

[Location] KL

[attachmentid=4038114]

I have already purchased the parts in the picture attached. The budget is for the rest of the parts. Know nothing about OC. XD
*
4770K?you shouldn't 've bought that if not into OC,tho..

Anyway :

Asus Maximus VII Ranger RM699
Kingston KHX1600MHz Fury 2x4GB RM279
Corsair RM650 80+ Gold PSU RM470
WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD RM174
Thermaltake Water3.0 Pro CPU Cooler RM289
Phanteks Enthoo Pro case RM329
Gainward GTX760 2GB DDR5 RM799(SLI setup,optional)
Liteon 24x DVDRW RM59
AOC i2769VM AH-IPS Monitor RM999

Total - RM4097.00

Parts can be bought through GBros @ Garage Sales except for the monitor which from Hikari85 @ Garage Sales.

I don't recommend Asus MX279H bcoz of the price.. sweat.gif it's only 1080p but the pricetag like 1440p monitor.. sweat.gif

And i put another GTX760 if you're interested on dual GPU setup..single GTX760 is too mainstream.. whistling.gif

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....344&ns=1#detail

But can I trust taobao? lol.

Nah..Evga will only bring u headache when it comes to warranty/RMA..no distro here,tho..there's a lot of option instead of evga.

since that topic already come up...dont you think our seller need to bring more GPU brand like EVGA and XFX?.
evga got PSU modal also right?.
*
Evga & XFX already had been here before..it's just that they've just dissapeared..no more carry evga.

But bear in mind, evga is a pricey product. There's a lot of option instead of picking evga as a choice..you can get the same performance but in a cheaper price.. wink.gif

Thanks a lot for the recommendations  rclxms.gif Didn't know cases nowadays come with all these bells and whistles. Also, I'm a bit confused because the Mobo already has USB ports (6 front and 6 back), but these cases also come with USB ports? Where are the mobo ports going to fit/appear on the case?

What say you if I want a case:
- that is small - ie Micro ATX (for the H97M board)
- has dust filters
- sleek modern design without too much alien / stylo-mylo kinda things
- some external and/or internal LED lighting
- window (optional)

I narrowed down to a few:

user posted image
Ghost is nice but too big

user posted image
Shadow does not have green LED to match my dumb green colour keyboard. Plus too big

user posted image
Colossus Micro... my favourite so far but has no dust filters

user posted image
Phantom - Nice but too big

user posted image
CM Silencio 352... seems the best spec-wise but looks very old fashioned
I guess if I can get a Colossus Micro that comes with removable dust filters.. then it'd be a winner. Any suggestions?

Was planning on decent photoshop rig with a budget of 2.5 - 3k
What are the recommendations excluding monitor, speaker?

Prefer to have 16GB ram setup.
Mediocore gpu is sufficient…nvidia preferred.

hi all, do i really need a cooling system if :

1) dont overclock my hardware
2) using rm1k graphic card and i7
3) using ceiling fan from morning to eve, at night with air-con
4) play high settings game from noon till midnight and let the pc idle from midnight till the next day. basically pc is on 24/7, and maybe shut down once a week or twice.
