Thank u so much for the recommendation.
Btw, is it worth the money to get gtx770 instead of gtx760?
Also Is it better to get Intel Core i5 4690 if i can fork out a lil more or do u think the i5 4460 is sufficient?
*
4460 is sufficient. GTX 770 will increase the performance by a whole lot.

Thanks for the suggestion rclxms.gif

The suggested processor is the Haswell model right?

How about the cooling part, do I need to get specific one or just go with the standard?

One more thing, how does the different between normal GTX750 and the Ti model? Is there any significant difference?

Hi there, I am thinking of replacing my laptop of ~3 years to a desktop. My laptop specs are :
i7-2630QM
NV GT 540M
4G Ram

With a budget of 1.5k, how much better will the suggested desktop be from my laptop approximately?

If I am not mistaken, it's the onboard display output that is different only.

Asrock boards are fine. And they're priced slightly cheaper compared to other brands, so you can save some bucks there.

Hello, would it be better to purchase "off the rack" desktop system e.g. Dell, Lenovo? or build a desktop as in pick and choose individual parts?

Would "off the rack" desktop allow for upgrading in the future i.e. RAM, graphic cards, etc?

Planning to buy a desktop system for content downloading (70%), office and light gaming (30%). Would a budget of RM1k be sufficient for a i5 system?

based on my exp, off shelf system doesn't allow future upgrading except for things like RAM and HDD since the casing used is not a generic casing like what you see at pc shops...they have their own OEM casing with its own shapes n blocks...for 1k i guess can only i3 system or perhaps intel G series.. other sifus may advise u on this smile.gif
