what software should i use n what format should i convert it 2 make the .mp3 file smaller?

it depends to what format you want the mp3 to be, maybe someone else will tell u what software to be use. actually you can still let the file be in mp3 format. you just need to lower the bitrate of the file, that just it.
correct me if i am wrong

i use ttplayer (http://www.ttplayer.com/), it got conversion feature to chg mp3 bitrate & freq, just set them to lower in order to shrink the mp3

Hmm... If u change file size to small, it means that your mp3 quality will be lower

OT a lit bit. If u want quality and small file size, u might want to convert to ogg format.

for me i trim down mp3 b'coz of need no tat high quality to play with my HP

You can adjust the bitrate also. To make the mp3 file smaller.
