i'm jumping ship from acoustic to electric guitar soon. planning on buying a telecaster standard miw. any nice amp to recommend me? i don't have a budget, recommend me what you think it's nice. thanks!

I'm a little divided about digital multifx processors like Line 6 even though its mighty tempting. Its definitely flexible and convenient to have an entire rig compressed into a pedalboard and at your beck and call, but my main gripe is continuity. These things are very much like PCs in the sense that they cost a bomb upon release, but 2-3 years down the road there's gonna be some super duper new upgrade that's gonna make the old one obsolete. And here u r stuck with the old one that's now devalued to a fraction of its original and nobody wants it anymore. My old Line 6 Flextone 3 was a case in point. Perhaps multi effects is not so problematic, just amplification that's the problem? I dunno. But the experience has prompted me to reevaluate my hardware acquisition quite considerably.

Speaking of multifx, anybody here got their hands on this lil fellow yet? Would love to hear your comments.

Chaps, want to ask a question. Has anyone here ever gone thru the rigmarole of recording a music video outdoors, performing in synch with the music? If so, what sort of a setup did u use to stay in synch with the reference music? Was recording my band's mv last month and despite  the (what I had thought was) really loud portable USB speakers we hooked up, it still wasn't enough to keep entirely audible. We ended up having to play to the drums which were synched to the metronome. Turned out so so, but was wondering if there was a better solution. Portable generator? Car stereo? Decepticon's Soundwave?

I'm afraid not, would love to A/B these 2. However, given the opportunity, I would probably end up with the 20w MH rather than the MkIII. One weighs 10kg, the other is 16kg - tak larat nak usung. That and the fact that 20 watts of tube power is more than enough for most venues I'm playing these days. Still cant beat a 5150 at full blast

The most interesting thing that happened in NAMM,
Was seeing a guy paying cash for a Ritter guitar (betcha never heard of them) in front of my eyes.
He paid $56,000 USD. Its like seeing +3kk! on 10x steroids high.

And they sold every single pcs on display in less than 1 hour.

I had buzzing issue on low E string when I bought my Epiphone LP 60s Tribute Plus just last 2 weeks.
Adjusted the truss rod to push the neck outwards (From player position) to give it more space, and also noticed that I was strumming too hard on the strings, as I am a newbie electric guitarist coming from an acoustic background. Voila, problem solved.

Now I got a new problem, guitar is freaking heavy lol. I only noticed it after 30+ minutes of playing, hurts my shoulders.
Anyone has any good guitar strap recommendation ? The shop that I bought the guitar from had only the cheap 20 ringgit strap that did very little to distribute the weight.

iirc that custom shop stamp first appeared on China epis.
really no difference, just epi trying to oversell China guitars and usually just on limited edition colors which later on got mass released...
quality all same shit.

This is exactly where I was about 4 years ago, I had also gravitated along the same product line - EHX .22 to a EHX .44, then to a Traynor Darkhorse Floor Pedal (notsure if they make them anymore). Then I found me the AMT Stonehead and the rest was history 

The ISP Stealth looks quite interesting    churns out 180w and only weighs in at 1.2 pounds eh? Have u gotten ur hands on it already, is there any shop here stocking in that we can test at? Ought to have at least one 1x12 speaker on standby incase venues dont have speaker cabs I reckon. and Orange PPC 112 would do nicely.

Why not try the Zoom G3n then? Should have give you much more control.

I had the ms50g and vox stomplab (never tried pandora) and the Zoom was the winner for me (vox isnt bad thou).
