I've got the Travellers Guitar EG-1 shaped like a mini LesPaul, bought it on my trip to Bangkok 6 - 7 years ago. Been using it quite often and for travels. I have seen both the newer electric & acoustic versions sold in HK as well (TomLee).

Here are my pros & cons.

Pros:
- Small in size but comfortable to play (sitting or standing)
- No problems hand carrying on the plane although I've been asked occasionally if I was carry a gun or a violin (Comes with a nicely padded gigbag & headphone)
- Well built and able to take on plenty of abuse, dropped mine a few times but no issues.
- Mine's a humbucker, sounds ok but lacks the fatness of a full bodied guitar
- Built in pre-amp, pretty cool as you don't have to carry an amp on a trip. Just plug in your headphones and a 9v batt. The cavity has been shielded as well, so you don't get buzzing.
Cons:
- Pickups? or maybe the lack of wood mass (can sound thin)
- Changing strings on the electric guitar is a bloody pain since the tuners sits in the body itself. I just dislike restringing this guitar.
That's about it. It's my grab and go guitar hence it's always in the lounge.

and thats like the single experience i had for the whole 20 odd years of me commuting through trains/bus/planes.
ppl usually just bring them around via gig bag without ever touching them.
i would imagine someone who like plays all the time even when commuting, would you know, be someone godly in the guitar realm.

I will say that reading requires less self esteem/ confidence than playing a guitar in public. like wayyyyyyy lesss.
