A lot of forummers here have single gliders..still too early to tell, but as long as you spend a lot of time with your glider everyday, it won't feel lonely.

hi badguy.. erm.. you should seriously consider the outcomes of having diff sex pairs..

i have a male and female.. so happens that my male is rather "rough" when it comes to mating..so he causes wounds on my female.. forcing me to separate them from time to time..

not to say it'll happen to u.. but u should also consider getting a pair of same sex gliders..

i'm not sure minimun how many hours.. but it should be at least as much time as possible. you can spend time with them even when they are sleeping..just keep them in a bonding pouch and close to you.. so that they get used to your scent and voice and the sounds around them. once in a while, stroke them while they're sleeping.

and if they are not tame, better not let them run around on your body.. cos once they jump off and run.. it'll be hard to catch back. (especially outdoors) indoors, if they run off and hide in a corner.. they'll be crabbing and crabbing and crabbing when you try to pick them up.. so gotta go slow, lure with mealworms or other sweet stuff..

if tame.. then it's alright..eventhough not bonded.. you can still let them play on you.. but just dun bring them outside incase they decide to run off.

tame one will not bite.. cos mine like to run off under my table and chair.. and sometimes i just grab them.. they don't bite, don't crab.

not tame one.. if you grab them, you'll scare them.. then even harder to earn their trust...

with untamed SGs.. you should slowly approach them.. let them get used to you.. and make sure they know that u are not a predator ready to eat them. have to be very patient la..

cheaka~ Glad you're making progress with your Gollum about clipping nails.. I use a small nail clipper (normal human use one) to clip the tip of the nails when my gliders are asleep in the pouch. just make sure you don't clip the quick (the pinkish part in the nail).

normally in the day time they will sleep like a pig. (as suiteng says)

they will wake up to drink a lil water or eat a lil then terus go back to sleep.

when they are young, they'll pee in the pouch.. when they get older, they pee outside their pouch, when they are awake.

as for cage, just buy a nice tall bird cage.. pet safari has it. RM100. big and spacious enough for them to climb around and jump around.

and we usually get our gliders from forummers. tagreptiles and smellyocheese can get for you if you're really interested.

cheaka~ the smell hard to get rid one.. cos yours gollum is a male.. males have a special scent..and feeding too much mealworm also causes the pee to smell very strong.. just clean everyday lo..nothing much u can do..

haha.. at least you can bring gollum back.. two gliders harder to bring le.. travelling to alor setar..with two/three cats..so glider need to find babysitter.. my mice oso ask ppl to jaga for me..

i not confirm going back yet or not cos now got transportation issues. but if i balik hometown.. then it'll be 3 days. leaving for alor setar on saturday(eve) and coming back 2nd day(monday)

at least what Andrew did is a good start.. just too bad that many couldn't care less about these animals.. me and my mom always hate the way pet shops house their sugar gliders..but we din do anything about it.. so one person standing up for them is a great step.. will follow and learn from Andrew's example.
