Sure, you MAY try your luck for RM499 during the rush sale, but, expecting someone who had to go thru the ordeal of trying to get his hands on a unit during the rush sale and waiting for the way-too-long delivery to sell his unit for RM499 back to you, is like expecting someone to plant and nuture a durian tree until it starts bearing fruits, and pay the person RM10 for the initial price of the durian tree sapling.

I mean, of course, asking for a lot more than RM499 is ridiculous, but I've seen people offering lower than RM499, or even negotiating for those sets being sold for RM550. I mean, cut the fellas selling at RM550 some slack, I'm not reselling it, but I really pity those who are only asking RM50 for the effort they put in to get unit(s) and still there's cheapskates who wants to negotiate on their price or even want it for the original price. doh.gif

RM50 couldn't even refuel a full tank of petrol these days, yet, the cheapskates want to cut into that small profit.

No offense, but this is what I observed from these recent rush sale phones. I guess I was lucky I managed to swap my open boxed unit for another open boxed Zenfone 5 2GB by topping up for the retail price difference between the two.

But then you are missing out on those people who are not interested in owning these sets but buying them in large quantity and selling it for more price. Now if they didn't do this.. other people who are interested in getting it for 499 directly from vmall STILL get the shipping to thr place right? SO the fuel and effort ur talking about is the risk these people who buy 'extra set to resell it for profit'.. are taking. So I don't see the point here. I believe people should not misuse this online web sale good price sales. Instead Xiaomi or huawei should have a better selling system but then they don't want to invest more in order for consumer to get fair offers. My point here is that it's not wrong to sell for 550RM or 600RM + for 499RM set but then it's not wrong even to negotiate to ask for them to let go at 499RM or plus some more RM into it.

Well, this is human nature, even if the current "batch" of people stop doing this, someone else would come in to "replace" them, I still think RM550 is a OK price for the time and effort spent on the party selling it. Like I said, you MAY try your luck at getting it for RM499. Even if there's no scalpers, for the price and specs, GENUINE BUYERS would still overwhelm the demand. We don't even know how many sets are up for offer unlike XiaoMi.

Check samsung malaysia fb page for consumer rage on how the samsung Malaysia stafff misuse cheap note 3 neo sales. smile.gif
I think it all comes to basic ethics in the end.

It does come with basic ethics, unfortunately, there's a chinese saying that goes "1 single type of rice grains can raise a hundred different types of personalities", there's just, no stopping new scalpers from emerging.

I was one of them caught in the frenzy. Was thinking of grabbing it for my Mum to replace her Note 2 so that the Note 2 can be passed to another relative in the family.

but they already ship it to citylink. does it take so long to reach me?
*
Because City-Link apparently only has 1 distribution centre for the entire Klang Valley.

based on luck.. someone in penang and seremban received their phone the next day after they paid. im in kl, received 2 days after i paid. so, its varied. depend on their delivery guy also..
*
Yes, I noticed the trend that most people outside Klang Valley received theirs earlier than those within Klang Valley. Partly due to the fact City Link apparently only has 1 distribution centre handling the distribution for the entire Klang Valley despite having numerous branches around Klang Valley.

Yes, that function can be enabled and pretty useful.

That's of course, with my very short term hands-on with it.

No, they won't. The only way you know if you'll probably be getting yours on the day is to check their tracking early in the morning.

If it shows something like "With Courier: LOGC0160/SHAH ALAM, MALAYSIA", with that courier number being random specific to the courier in charge of your area, then you'll highly be possibly getting yours on the day.
