We are not the only team to have Mulsim players lar. So it's nothing to do with religion practice. I believe everyone will be taking care of 24/7 in any professional sport club.
Dillon, that only apply to you. I do get soft legs out of varies reasons. LoL

I'm not 100 per cent religious but my belief is strong. When the time is right, I will fully be Christian. My mum is a big help, a big influence in that. Faith is an important thing for me.

Every match day I put faith in God. It's not part of a pre-match ritual or anything, but I pray at home the day and night before. I pray most days, I try to anyway. It is one of those things where I need to get into the routine.

But yeah, being a Muslim and playing on ramadhan has no bearing on performance. These guys are proper athletes.

Thanks but no thanks, but who can deny Hodgson's WC team will be based on Liverpool's highly successful attacking template...I see at least 4-5 players being starters in Brazil - SG, Sturij, Sterling, Hendo and possibly Johnson.... I dread it if England have a good run in the WC - then the players will return jaded, tired and off form for the new season - the further England go into WC, the worse it is going to be for the players....it happened to Spain, Holland and Brazil...all their players either affected or out of form after a good world & european cup...if this is the scenario, I would say we need at least another 4-5 key players who culd fit in straight away and if we include returning players such as Borini, Suso, Wisdom, Coady, Assaidi - we immediately have enough depth...Am not saying that all of them will be kept by BR....I think at least 3 players will be let go, and only BR will know who's who....

Having read about Lovren being linked to us, and Agger away, I am surprise that some would rather go for the former, whom i felt had a good season, but still have not proven anything. I would stick with Agger, as i would with Skrtle and Sakho...yes, we did have a leaky defense, but essentially, this season is about learning curve as well, our team learned about what it takes to mount a sustain interest all the way until April...eventho we did falter a bit towards the end,, but it showed the character of the team, the resilient against big and more extravagant team. I think the overall value of the team increase, as what's reflected in the league table, now is about reinforcement...rather than replacement, this is how i felt

I do recall we have a Muslim doctor too. So we have backroom support. They probably planned as such to get the best out of the players anyhow, ramadhan or not. Haha.

And yeah wei, 23k post. Now only i realise. notworthy.gif

I would still prefer Agger and Skrtel partnership than Skrtel/Sakho. Agger is not bad defensively. Sakho is good defensively but uncomfortable on the ball and tend to commit mistakes. I say play Agger till his decline.

I agree that Agger and Skrtel still have unfinished business with us, looking at our leaky defense, we can't really fully blame our CB. Mind that most of the goals came from either left or right flank, and it mostly came from the midfield.

In short, the whole leaky defense is a problem of a whole, not just the defense.

As for the player in and out. The player that I want out badly is Johnson and Aspas.

Alberto, Ibe and a few other youngster could loan to another PL club.

I would want Suso back to the first team badly.

New player? Not really want to comment much because its all up to the club, owner, and BR. But I hope that they may bring in 2 or 3 TOP CLASS players instead of 5-6 mediocre players.

what will happen to Illori, Coates, Kelly or Wisdom??

Aspas could still be used in Carling and FA Cup matches... btw there might be a point when we could loose both Suarez n Sturridge at the same time. Plus, Aspas has spent a season with us so he should have been very familiar with the team and Rodgers style...

as for Johnson.. one thing I hate is that when going forward with the ball he loves to keep the ball for too long and cut inside into the center area. the worst thing is most of the time he will loose the possession and leaves our defense completely vulnerable for counter attack.... other than that, he still one of the best RB in BPL.

Yup and that's y we don't actually need more of them. Besides, he's also not worth the salary. 80k is madness for an average player like him. He'll be another Charlie Adams.

And actually, Liverpool has only 2 muslim players and I hope we stick to that. Kolo Toure and Sakho. It's easy to do with if you have only 2 as defenders don't usually move much except for liverpool due to their pacy and high pressing games. Put a diame in and you have a player who is thirsty, yet unable to play top notch football.

And I'm not discriminating muslim players. It just so happens that he is one. I'm just focusing on his wage demand of 80k weekly which is massive in my opinion since he doesn't seem much better than Charlie Adams. We really need top players. Javier Mascherano is on 90k weekly and since he is open to coming back, we can tempt him with the same 90k. I'd rather pay 10k more and get a much better player. Of course Diame is only 26 while Masch is 29 and it's a big gamble. But see Yaya, still so good at 31. I'd rather choose Mascherano over Diame.
