My wife is pregnant for 14 weeks by now and we have been visiting Dr Haw in Columbia Asia Cheras Selatan. From the past three months experience, it was all good so far until some friends of mine informing me some bad comments about Columbia Asia. Anyone here have any experience with him. Do share with me as I'm very very concern about it. Thanks a million. Ur comments about Dr Haw and the hospital are very much appreciated so I could make the best decision for my wife and my baby.

My wife is 23 weeks and visiting Dr Haw. So far so good, always less than 15mins will finish the checkup...kakaka..he is super fast 1. If you need very in detail, maybe need to look for another doctor.

The reason i choose columbia is nearby my house, no long queue even on weekend. the hospital is still new and clean.

What is friend complaining about? the hospital or dr haw?

Hey, great to read that u are doing really good with him. I find him ok too actually. But my friend was telling me that her colleague had some bad experience with him as he did not prescribe any supplements to her till the forth month of pregnancy but only folic acid. But I was telling her Dr Haw prescribe calcium tablets and multivitamin to my wife since the 12 week pregnancy. U have any friends delivered their babies with Dr Haw before? I personally he is ok so far.

If I remember correctly, dr haw only gave those supplements to my wife either 3 or 4 months onwards as he said no need to take it so early but acid folic is a must. You may buy the fish oil from him, is cheaper than outside.

There is 1 member here that their baby delivered by dr haw, he said no complain. You might need to search for this member.

Give u 1 more tips, ask for discount for his consultation fees...kekeke

Bro, that's wat I thought to. I was trying to tell my friend here who was trying to convince me that CA is a bad choice. I was treated like a king too in the hospital during my past few visits. I was just trying to get some comments from ppl around so I know I'm not making a mistake to send my wife there. Btw, great to hear good comments from u to confirm my decision to stick with Dr Haw.

yeap

i was happy with his quick surgery, neat sewing, and good daily consultation

i think dr haw is slightly less talkative so you gotta talk to him about things you wanna knw instead of waiting for it to drop from the sky

Good to hear that from u. How I hope to drag my friend in here to read all these. Thanks bro!!! U made my day!!!!
I realise he's a bit passive too and i like it so much when he started explaining when I project him some questions. Thanks again for the tips and the comments. I felt better now. Felt like dropping in a free fall lift after discussing with that stupid friend of mine and u put the cables right for me again!!! THANKS :-)
So it looks like I'm already with one of the best gynae in town!!! Glad...

there are 2 gynae in Colombia Cheras. 1 is malay lady Dr. Shida and another 1 is Dr.Haw.

Dr Haw is the type of doc that is straight to the point. no hanky panky. straight guy's attitude. his dressing is like taiko jalan alor makes me people think that he is not suit for the title but from the way he talks, to me he really walk the talk. But my wife has gone csec with Dr.Shida and all her check up is with her as well.

what bad reviews that your friend gave can I know?

u can ask the doc what type of medicine does your wife need etc. of course he will prescribe u on what's needed and not what u want. if u think your friend has better knowledge than the doc, 1 question u should ask, "is your friend a gynae himself?"

Hi there!

Mind to share the total bill from Dr Haw after delivery? How much is the mum and baby bill? How many days stay?

Thanks.

My wife just delivered a baby boy at columbia asia setapak with Dr Suhaimi. Bill comes to around RM 5600. I guess other Columbia Asia should be more or less the same.
- natural birth assisted with vacuum
- no epidural
- 3 night stay on single room

Food and nurse okay. Dr Suhaimi is good.

Hi all,

Just wondering, has there been any more recent experiences with Dr.Haw and also perhaps an update on the costing for Consultation & Delivery? My wife is 8th week pregnant and we are looking around the area for a suitable place.

Appreciate any feedback

My monthly scan takes around 130, plus minus twenty bucks I think... I can’t remember. He doesn’t prescribe me anything but folic acid at the beginning. As long as I drink milk regularly and he sees that the fetus is fine, he doesn’t prescribe anything extra. You have to really talk to him about your problem( if any) then he will do something about it
