... which is the more you need a DSLR. With one, you can move on further to improve your skills. Dun worry about lenses and flashes and all, it's all there when you buy. Always imagine this "With what I have now I am good, with a DSLR I can be BETTER ..." and once you see images from a DSLR shot by your own hands, there's NO MORE TURNING BACK brows.gif

Ayoooo ... what talking you-lar Henry taiko!! doh.gif

Colour temperature cannot be set on D50, D70 and D70. Does that mean all those photographers with those Nikon models that go crashing into environments with bad lighting have to one-by-one queue up and leave? No-mah right? Auto WB will help you set your colours right but you'll have to tweak it together with your ISO setting and your other preset settings as well i.e Brightness, Tone, Sharpness, NR, etc. All these settings affect your final results.

I understand how you feel ... but think about this : Longer Zoom vs Ultimate Image Quality, which one do you want? Compact digicams and Prosumers change in time and fashion but the trend, usage and technology of SLRs last forever (at least they start from before World War 2 and might end maybe slightly after World War 3!)

12x Optical zoom ... well ... maybe a 18-200mm can satisfy, but once you hop onto DSLR-ism, it's not only DISTANCE you'll be excited about brows.gif

seriously... the 70-200mm vr lens which i saw doesnt satisfy me in the range. guess i need to spend huge money on getting a long range zoom lens with ultimate image quality.

this was taken from my FZ30 with 12x macro af zoom.

this was taken from my friend D80 with 200mm vr lens at almost the same distance.

now u know why the 12x zoom are great to me. by the way... FZ30 have 33 - 420mm. sweat.gif

Correct, coz you prefer distance over compo. Try asking any bird lover, it's better to see the whole body than just the face, but it's just personal preference. I prefer to see the bird's entire body over just the face.

Oh yeah, I like it better if it's FLYING. Now go catch some of that, I am waiting brows.gif

totally understand that.... sweat.gif that's my main concern too... body with that lens almost 8k plus... sweat.gif so really need to spend that kinda of money on long range?

but again... canon cheaper. so i am considering 400D as well.. at least canon lens are affordable.
