QUOTE(ac98 @ Nov 6 2006, 10:23 PM) Shinchan you wanna take up that challenge? Prove to him it's the SKILL and not the HARDWARE I dun believe the D70s is that bad, at least when I was using the D70 for a pagent with terrible lighting also it's never that bad. I believe the D80 can pull off with bad environment lighting, but D70 owners dun spend thousands to buy a camera that terrible kua. The lighting at 1 Utama that day to me it's kacang putih only ler, my 300D also can tapau those spotlights easily! Let shinchan rake the challenge and prove me wrong... I love to accept the result if it show me wrong... Let'd do this: 1. HenryLow with D80 + 50mm f1.8 2. shinchan^^ with D70s + 50mm f1.8 Don see compo... just see the picture quality... see white balance and colour tones... that's all...

QUOTE(HenryLow @ Nov 6 2006, 06:12 PM) Thanks for sifu's comments... Need bring flash liao if indoor shoot model... I never said that. I only said your WB is out. I need to master your WB and learn how to 'READ' colour. Firstly, you need to know what is White Balance, then you need to know WHICH colour corrects WHICH colour and learn to apply them accordingly i.e Tungsten Mode actually covers an image with a Blue tint to cut out Yellow cast caused by Yellow spotlights. You need to learn and master these settings and apply them accordingly. My Japanese friend used to "There are no secrets in Photography, only selfish Photographers"

QUOTE(fulat @ Nov 6 2006, 10:29 PM) ya... agree with ac98. D70 wasnt that bad at all... was thinking might get a D70 later.... On the other hand, I suggest you get the D80 if you can stretch your budget, let me tell you why : 1. 10MP gives you a better edge coming to sharpness and resolution. 2. WB can be adjusted FURTHER should you ram into those tricky situations i.e bad lightings that go WAY beyond present WB can adjust. 3. Bigger LCD (2.5") for clearer and sharper preview and playback. 4. Faster and more precise zooming during image playback 5. 11 Selectable AF Points (same as D200) Poison .... With one, you can move on further to improve your skills. Dun worry about lenses and flashes and all, it's all there when you buy. Always imagine this "With what I have now I am good, with a DSLR I can be BETTER ..." and once you see images from a DSLR shot by your own hands, there's NO MORE TURNING BACK
