QUOTE(icemanfx @ May 18 2014, 11:10 PM) By the same argument; if a syndicate decided to transact currently valued for 500k unit at 600k, so that the rest of units are now worth 600k consider "speculative and manipulative"? Nope!Market sentiment is not sentiment as you said. Professor Andrew Oswald said "dangerous to question whether the whole group’s (i.e. herds) activity is flawed" If the so call "the syndicate" is asking for 600k, it is manipulating and speculating..... However the moment it is transacted to genuime buyer, and if subsequence units sold at 600k too, it is no longer consider a "speculative and manipulated"...... It has bacome a facts that the market "accepted and absorbed" the price tag..... |

QUOTE(icemanfx @ May 19 2014, 12:38 AM) No doubt experience is important but fundamentals must still be there. What is gambling? it means a 50-50 game or any ratio game..... why "all will lose"?...... Gamblers rule of winning is a flaw, all will lose to casino as the end. ppl lose its not because of "gambling"..... they lose because of their "discipline" and "character"....... And for sure..... it is never "all"...... at least i'm already one of those...... This post has been edited by AppreciativeMan: May 19 2014, 10:19 AM |

QUOTE(icemanfx @ May 19 2014, 10:29 AM) So inexperience flippers chance of profit is as good as flipping a coin? Even these gamblers are not banned by casino, this "rule of winning" will eventually lose to casino. Uncle, please don't flattered me, i am only a student still learning. Any difference if the good is gold, US$, etc? What u trying to ask?? Gambling at casino is never 50-50 game. If one gambling long enough will lose to casino eventually. Now become "gambling never 50-50"? ok ok la...... 48-52, even 5-95 a-sai-boh? if u say casino always got a higher probability, i will never object wat u say...... however again..... saying something u dont like or disagree to "never", "sure"..... u r commiting suicide even before u step into society....... Casino is not at fault, gambling is not faulty..... Its all human behaviour tat brings problems to themselves..... Without casino, then ppl dont gamble??? Have a more open mind la.......... |

QUOTE(jolokia @ May 19 2014, 08:33 AM) http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014...-to-foreigners/ Uni boy....... What does tat means in Msia?? PENGERANG: Johor has barred locals from selling land to foreigners. Mentri Besar Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin, who disclosed this, said locals were selling off their plots to foreigners due to its rising value. He said there were at least three recent cases of locals trying to sell land meant for agricultural use. “Major development is taking place, especially after the initiation of the Rapid (Refinery and Petrochemicals Integrated Development) project. “There is no doubt that many (foreigners) will be interested to acquire land here,” he told reporters after launching the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of affordable homes in Taman Penawar Harmoni here yesterday. Stressing that the state government would not approve the sale of land to foreigners, Mohamed Khaled said those who wanted to put their land up for lease should consult the state government. “We are willing to negotiate on this,” he said. The Mentri Besar also said the state government was studying the possibility of introducing a hire-purchase scheme to make it easier for Johoreans to buy affordable homes. “We will work with the Southeast Johor Development Authority (Kejora) on this and on those who will be eligible to participate,” he added. They wants a cut or a share la!!! What is going to happen next? Seller put up higher price to cover their share........ end up........ higher prop price again...... QUOTE(icemanfx @ May 29 2014, 02:14 PM) Agreed that 1997 crisis wasn't caused or started by property bubble, quoted to show property price did dropped in the past. Ah boy...... Prop price drop and abandoned prop proj is 2 different matter... Btw..... Wat makes u so sure how ppl thinks in 1997?? by reports or hearsay from your lectuerer? How many of those ppl who really went through full flag investment in 1997 u kno or spoken to before?? This post has been edited by AppreciativeMan: May 29 2014, 02:23 PM |

QUOTE(cherroy @ May 29 2014, 10:03 AM) I was the one went through the 1997 crisis in the stock market, I can share the experience during that time and a lot of people saw rosy prospect ahead, as many said it was rise of Asian Tiger back then, most people were very optimistic about the economy situation even though stock market had risen quite significantly , and stock market was quite buoyant. Even some analyst said high PE is justified due to rise in earning, just like dotcom bubble. Little people saw the crisis coming, due to currency depreciation. RM was as high as USD2.50 before the crisis hit. Not to discredit economist or analyst, but if economist and analyst indeed very good in seeing the future, RM won't surge to USD2.50 before plunging to more than RM4 just in months time. The same can be said before subprime mess, Japan real estate burst and loss of decade etc. Little economist saw how deep subprime affected Lehman, and the Lehman aftermath event that lead to global financial crisis. Same with Euro debt crisis, little saw it coming until it is too late. And same with Euro debt crisis, when most people including many analyst doom and gloom and predict the crisis exploded, it did not. In fact stock market in Europe hit all time high, and Euro stay high. After seeing through and experience many kind of bubble/crisis, from experience, crisis often happen when people least aware. As if people is more aware, people will take precaution measure, when people take precaution measure, means bubble deflated before it burst, hence the magnitude of crisis is significantly reduced already. The next crisis may be out of most people prediction. Try to time a crisis and predict a crisis is more difficult to guess a lottery number. Basically, what I want to tell is future is unpredictable, economist can use data to justify whatever scenario, but whether it did follow the theory, it is another matter. Human behaviour, how situation unfold in economy is never a mathematics or science subject that can use theory and calculation to predict exactly the outcome. |

A typical example u dont need to be an economist or highly knowlegeable to be wealthy..... u jus need the right person around u.....
