Just wondering anyone changed their steering?
Mine steering start to fade and crack and turn into dust/sand...

So with tight budget & no longer need to radio buttons,
just planning to change to some affordable third party steering...
Upon survey on the web it seem we need a boss kit? it is a adapter to fit the new steering? how much would it cost?

Possibly get everything within RM100?

Hi... Guys...

Yesterday I parked my car in the office for the whole  day
then after work I couldn't start my car.

When I turned the key on. There was only one 'Tak' sound
and nothing else.

I had to turn on the key and hold for 3-4 seconds then started
to have sound and engine started.

What do you guys think?
*
It could be battery weak.
Happened once to me, park in office car park whole day, end of day tried start the car.
Only tak tak tak sound, cannot start at all.

Went home changed new battery then ok already.

oic... I also think so..

The battery is already 2 years old. I think it's time to change right?
*
2 years should start to monitor already.
Anyway this is based on my experience...not sure if it same as your case.
There is also another possible reason why the alternator is faulty, therefore failed to charge the battery as usual.

Anyway suggest to confirm your alternator is working fine before replacing a new battery.

The old original patco Cabin Filter got label beside it showing the air flow but the 3rd party one doesnt have it.

Yup. And they are dirt cheap to replace @ PSC.  nod.gif

Btw, found the main reason of the foglights cracking. A common issue with all Proton older models.
*
Thank for your feedback, what is the estimated price for the replacement?
Btw mine doesn't crack but suspect water entered the fog lamp doh.gif

I changed mine @ PESC PJ Section 13.
H4 is about RM12 including GST & installation.
H3 not too sure, but just changed together with minor bumper repair & refit = RM20 including GST & installation.
*
Wow that cheap...will arrange and pay them a visit.

Oh really? so basically we just need to buy from the spare part shop then only drop by alignment shop?
As previously was quoted much more expensive if without chamber nut/screw.

Anyone here ever experience steering/tire vibration while turning slight right?
Turn slight left till max no problem, turn right about quarter till the max also no problem, only slight right giving problem.

E.g. on highway about 80km/s onward with smooth curve to the right.

I can feel that steering vibrate and sound from front left tire.

Currently with 4 x new tires, front absorber n mounting.

Possible that is caused by dented rim?

Never change my steering bush before, I think I should check on it. Now I have in mind is dented rim or drive shaft.

someone told me to better change the steering bush to the blue silicone type.
*
I done a survey on the internet yesterday and I saw the blue silicone type that you mentioned, it last longer than the usual one. Will get one.
Just wonder is there anyway I can verify is the problem really due to the bush?
I am afraid situation where by replacing multiple parts but problem still persist.
