Genting employs a lot of Malay and Muslim staff.

Its taking money away from stupid idiots who are bad at math while helping Muslims to earn a living.

Problem? rolleyes.gif

You talking about the casino or the theme park?

Everywhere.

In case you hadn't noticed, the security staff at the casino also includes Malays along with the cleaning staff, waiters, etc. Malays work in almost all positions in the casino except for croupier which can only be non-Muslims.

You can still go over to the entrance to take a look. You'll notice that the auxiliary police there are almost all Malays.

Ermm. i beg to differ
I played pontoon... the reason why house has more edge because some player are ignorant.
1 table can have 7 player... all has different strategy of playing, you got what am trying to say?

HOWEVER, when i manage to convince other player to cooperate with me,such as when to hit the card or doesn't hit, the chances of winning is higher smile.gif

The only game i lost a lot is Roulette, but at pontoon or blackjack.. still has higher margin of winning smile.gif

Oh yeah, i saw a young player, i think around, 21-24 years old, guess what, he used SGD1500, won SGD80K from that pontoon table..!!!

Until the manager of the Casino came down with several security , reason? TOO MANY CROWD surround him and see him play, which, the manager advice him to stop playing.. haha XD

The way he play , i can say, GODLIKE.

The wiki article on Pontoon has a strategy chart on how to play. Australian casinos allow you to refer to it. Malaysian casino will tell you to fucuk off elsewhere.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontoon_%28card_game%29

If you can convince 6 other friends to follow that chart and you guys just pau one table and share out the winnings and losses later, you might actually beat house odds...maybe... hmm.gif

do u try before?bring the chart inside to casino?

I don't really gamble much as a rule in a casino simply because I understand the house odds.

Actually, I am inclined to play some slot machine. I know it has very bad odds but it also allows really small bets (2 cents minimum) so its a great way to kill some time while I'm up there. I was in the casino during maintenance and I have a rough idea of the machine earnings. Last time I looked which was about 10 years ago, each machine earned the casino about RM4k per day. Yes, only 4k because they also have to payout winnings or people won't play anymore.

Aside from that, I play mahjong and poker with friends. Lose also, its money going between each other so no biggie.

oh,u are ex-slot machine technician.

so do u win big jackpoon slot? rclxms.gif
is it a person put in 20k,slot machine will pay out 1k to the next person?
can u share the trend?
*
Lol not technician lar. I just happened to be there in the wee hours of the morning. Could not sleep, nothing better to do in Genting at 4/5AM (well, got but I only act hamsap brows.gif but dun really like to cheong wan sweat.gif ) so I went down to casino to feed some coins into the slots. This woman came by with a key and started opening up each machine and they showed this blue screen with total money earned and total paid out. The machine next to mine (she bypassed me cos still playing) said something which was more or less ~$20k collected and ~$16k paid out. Money paid in and paid out can differ widely between each machine depending on popularity but based on the small sample I looked at, the difference between in and out averaged out to be about RM4k per machine.

Now that I think about it, it was prolly more of an audit than maintenance...

Edit: Note that I was in the cheap section of the casino with 2 cents and 5 cents minimum bets. I imagine the other machines with higher minimum bets take in more and might have more different payout ratios.

I can't remember but it was the main casino which is accessible from Highlands Hotel. Mind you, this was over 10 years ago. They might have upped the minimum bet by now. I wouldn't know as I haven't been in the casino again since.

oh,no wonder u said put some coin into slot.
now only can put banknote into slot.

1)Do you still remember the minimum bet of table games?
now is rm10.

2)why after that u never go to casino?
lost a lot?
*
Yeah, I know they've changed to a card system. One of the contributing factors towards why I stopped really. No fun playing slots with card credit. It needs the coins leh...I know its less convenient but got more oomph. laugh.gif

Minimum table bet of card games was RM5 back than.

Stopped going to casinos because I never really was a fan in the first place plus it is just very smokey in Genting because Malaysians are assholes and don't know how to respect the no-smoking areas. mad.gif mad.gif Big sign right there yet the gamblers will light up anyway and the casino doesn't do anything to stop them. Also, I really don't have any luck in gambling plus I can't be bothered to do stuff like card-counting and counting odds.
