IT, depends. Now a lot of freelancers, especially Indians, come and undercut you. They can do things cheap. People nowadays outsource to them. Programming for small companies is a deadend. Now only huge companies (well, mid to large enterprises) can afford to keep them.
Imagine this, you spend 3 months to train them, yes programming is that difficult to train. Work for you for 6 months, they run to another company for higher pay. The cycle continues.
