What is the procedure to transfer school for Form 6? Is there any way to settle it myself without relying the school? sweat.gif It's best if I no need to stay at the old school for weeks so that I can start Form 6 in the school that I want straight away..

Don't rely on school. Procedure can go awry and the delay could cause you to miss any opportunity to hold positions in your new school. Go to Jabatan Pelajaran with your documents and appeal there, they confirm allow you wan. I went to Shah Alam branch, settle almost immediately.

Oh I see.. I went to the school that I was placed in then they asked me to register first on 5th May then only do the transferring. So now I no need to register and can straight settle at Jabatan Pelajaran? Do I still need to get the principal to sign on the transfer letter and the documents? By the way, is PPD same as Jabatan Pelajaran? sweat.gif

In my/my friends' case, we have to get our principal to sign on the transfer letter as when we went without having the sign, the one who served us, told me we needed to do that first.

But anyway, try your luck, insist to meet the person-in-charge

Did you register in your school then only did the transferring? When you give the principal to sign your transfer letter, is your transfer letter in handwritten or need to let the people in the school office to type it again? Because they told me that they need computer-typed of transfer letter..

My situation was a lot less complicated as I did the entire process before Form 6 started. I basically went to PPD Shah Alam, brought all my documents (IC, SPM results slip, relevant koku sijils) and whatever and met the person in charge. He approve immediately.

HOWEVER, I forgot to mention an important detail. I initially didn't get an offer to enter form 6 (they gave me matrikulasi) so what I did was basically an appeal AND a transfer simultaneously. So what you need to do might be different. I advice you to follow what CallMeBin recommends =)

Penang's a bit different.

You'll first need the permission from the school, which is usually granted, and then it's best if you straight go JPN. Relying on school normally engenders unwanted delays.

My situation is the same like you. I got matrikulasi but I think I'm going for STPM. Did you print the form online from MOE website? I printed it but I sent it along with relevent documents to my school instead. My teacher doesn't seems to know much about this, she asked me where is this documents supposed to be i told her that according to the website it says that it needs to be sent to the old school for approval etc. I left the document with my teacher at old school.

Btw do you know when is the second intake for form 6? When will the appeal result will be, because registration date is 25th May do you think I should go register for matrikulasi first while waiting for form 6 second intake?

Need to get a typed-one. Last time, our teacher gave everyone of us who wanted to transfer to fill in the letter (name, ic, etc .. couldn't recall), then at last the teacher collected and get the signature of our principal and then they passed to JPN for us ..

So, insist to do it yourself if your school is lenient .. unlike my school, the principal is dam .. strict ..

Get the transfer letter, signature, and go to JPN

For my year, no second intake. I don't know about your cohort though.

Yeah, I printed everything that I thought could explain my case. My matriks offer, SPM results and so on. There weren't any hiccups that came to mind and in sorry that everything is such a blur for me.

But I do remember that people have been coming in as late as a month after registration. It takes THAT long sometimes if you go through school. So i really recommend you do it yourself.
