anyone here can share guide how to remove stubborn dust from radiator?
*
Compressed air can if you don't want things complicated.

If still doesn't work, then you'll need to literally wash your rad in a pail of water.

bro, question, why i cannot use concentrated flow on shower head?
*
Concentrated flow, with enough pressure/force will dent your fins.

bro, is my understanding right on rads?

the pins are used to transfer heat from liquid right? the one that holds the water is the tubular line that comes from top to bottom of the rad? right?
user posted image

the long parallel lines.. right?
*
The lines that run along the rad carry the water from the top ports to the bottom, yes. Fins take the heat and fans blow them out.

When everybody is talking about acrylic tubing but i'm still using lousy tubing.
Got back my RMAed Sapphire 290 last week so take opportunity to redo the loop order

You're not alone bro. I'm using regular tubing too. Happy with it.

This is very interesting. Except it's 13mm instead of 12.7mm. You think it'd fit?
*
It'll probably fit, but will be damn tight if your o-rings don't damage first.

For people looking for R9 290/x waterblocks, Stren did a comparison.

Active backplate is probably not worth the money given that you're already better than every other backplate

Wonder which two jackasses here asked me to get the Active one. tongue.gif  tongue.gif  tongue.gif
*
Money no object I would get the Aquacomputer block with active backplate. That combo is about as good as you can get, and it looks awesome. whistling.gif

This is a little offtopic, but does anyone know where I can buy a sleeved fan splitter like this? http://www.noctua.at/inc/imageviewer.php?item=75&pnr=1

Pretty much the last component I need for my rig, and the 8 fan Swiftech splitter is less ideal for my case's configuration.
*
If you're alright with getting slightly longer ones, you can check out anywhere that sells NZXT accessories. NZXT has that kind of sleeved splitter. Just different kind of sleeve and slightly longer.

QUOTE(fongzai92 @ Aug 15 2014, 01:19 PM)
which air cooler does that ? big big nocta?
*
Noctua, Deepcool, Silverstone, Thermalright. Water cooling will always have it's risks, up to you whether to take it or not. If you're going for AIO, there's always warranty, but you'll still need to be careful with handling. Just watch your budget. Depends what you're after.

Yup, PMed him a while ago already with some other resellers. Hopefully someone has it in stock. Most of them don't have ready units apparently.
*
Well, if it's that hard to get, shoot infernoaswen a PM and see if he still has the fan splitter board or if he can help you out with some custom cabling. Otherwise, niclasteoh is another option for custom cabling.

Argghhh.
Mobo block. The provided m2.5 6mm too short.
Cpu block. The backplatr is like bent and the precision screw cant go in.
Delid. Tried and couldnt pry it open with the vice and wood block i used.
8hrs of toiling only achieve in doing both gpu with backplate.
Down time om torrent rig now extended to a week. Crap.
*
Screws can source, not too much of an issue. Not too expensive either.

Could you hammer the backplate flat? Otherwise ask EK to send a replacement.

As for delid, you'll probably need more force. I didn't have wooden blocks when I did mine so I used..... old hard drive shells. sweat.gif laugh.gif whistling.gif

Of course will still be active, especially with processors getting hotter and water cooling being more accessible compared to before.

Gave up updating the worklog. My case finished, but scrapped coz at the end for maintenance was too ridiculous. No space to move, at all.

Rig is in a phanteks enthoo pro. Will post photos sometime after next week, after I get a place to put my rig. Lol

perhaps it's an o-ring problem? cross screw and tighten slowly and see if that helps?

sometimes if you tighten the screws the first time and move in a circular pattern the oring gets messed up.

i see.. good tips.. actually last time i bought the ek pump with the pump top. thats why i never screw the pump myself.. but this time, bought a dual pump top which i need to screw it myself..

so i need to do a cross screw pattern. but should i screw until it really tight or what?
*
Just take your time to fit the screws in. Go a few times to slowly compress the oring consistently. The idea is to not let the oring expand in other places when you compress one side.

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Aug 18 2014, 12:38 PM)
Cross screw 14 screws. Lol. Not so easy bro. Trust me.

Hmm hafdin revealation on the leak issue.. Kindda took mr back
*
Haha yeah, 14 screws is no joke. But ah want to do..

QUOTE(hafdin @ Aug 18 2014, 12:40 PM)
because i saw a watercooling video on youtube, the person said don't screw until it really tight, let the o-ring do its job.. so what is your opinion?
*
That's true, but if you don't compress the oring enough it won't work either. Lol.

Icic. Just need to know if the larkooler can support the EK water block if I can get it.

What do you mean by support? The pump power? It'll work, just expect to change it out if you want to get better temperatures.

Guys, I have a question here.

As you can see the picture below, referring to the red circle. The bottom fitting inside that circle is a 60 degree ROTARY fitting, and i put it with bitspower C48 which is only have 1 O-ring inside it. Do you guys think that 60 degree rotary fitting is stable on a position like that? My concern is, I'm a bit afraid if I run the loop, the rotary fitting will rotate downward and make it leak. Do you guys think the acrylic tube could collapse and cause a leak?

Once you put the acrylic tube in, the rotary shouldn't go anywhere. haha. Just make sure your tube fits perfect.
