Monsoon fittings are pretty much impossible to find locally unless you can get the guys at APES to help you order. Locally available are EK, Bitspower and Primochill, none of which are really "cheap". lol

I'm not sure whether most people here familiar with UTS system screw. Your best bet go to hardware store & see if they have it. BTW, all I know depends on what radiator you use, it's either M3 or M4 screws. Which radiator use 6-32 thread screws?
*
XSPC uses UNC 6-32. doh.gif

Elans Joshpit, hit up niclasteoh on the forums. I think he's got the screws you need.

If it's just cabling that's broken off, you can just get a electrical cabling terminal connector, strip the insulation and join the cables back. it'll work fine.

found nickel block have some problem
Dont know nickel(EK-ACF Compression Fitting 13/19mm (1/2 x 3/4") - Black) compression fitting have problem or not

Monsoon compression fitting look good for me, still searching monsoon compression fitting seller~
hard to find~
*
Nickel blocks from EK USED to have an issue. Now not so much. Then again, too much biocide or silver in any loop will just wreck havoc.

If you're going with biocide, follow instructions and top up every few months. If you're going with silver, follow the recommended amount for your loop and check the strip every few months and see if you need to polish. If you don't want to bother, use coolant.

Like Lucassss said, fitting barbs are made of brass, then plated with nickel or painted. However, the plated does come in contact with the water in the loop. Some fittings are anodized aluminium, but that's the compression ring, so it's okay.

QUOTE(Lucassss @ Mar 9 2015, 10:00 AM)
Doubt it. Most fittings are made of brass and the nickel plating doesn't come in contact with the water in the loop. I might be wrong though.  sweat.gif

Monsoon's are pretty rare locally. Maybe you can contact pristine.

Monsoons are pretty much impossible to find locally. lol. I haven't heard of anyone reselling them locally. I've stopped bringing in stuff from PPC for quite awhile already. Heck, haven't bought much stuff to upgrade my loop or rig at all even.

Yea, nickel base ek block have an issue

Ek acf compression fitting
The barb is made of nickel-plated CNC machined brass and the ring is made of anodized CNC machined aluminium. Fittings feature quality rubber O-rings.
Safe bard?

Just want cheap compression fitting + safe~
*
USED to, they fixed the issue already.

The EK ACF fittings are new. They're fine to use. Whether or not safe to use depends on you. laugh.gif But if you're talking about reaction with water, it's fine.

Lucassss

Not sure about that bro. Been using shell battery water for quite some time n nvr had yellowish/gunk

Although i normally do a 2 full bleeds, check blocks, pump, 2 more bleed when i first install.

Arghh that time if the year again n worse for some unknown reason my cpu block stands ine was dislodged from the backplate. Did a temp fix but temps were 15c difference on load only. Suspect clp issue. So just resitting n reapplyinh clp.

6 hrs of my life gone. Lol.

Credits to your excellent cleaning thumbup.gif

Cleaned mine pretty thoroughly before filling up as well. No discolouration in my coolant or tubes too.

Dunno how many times so call expensive bitpower fittings had leaks. Angle fittings n orings always need to double test it.

Got nearly 2-3k worth of bits fittings . It was that experience that led me to a sabatical from wc.

Suprisingly smooth sailing with monsoon so far
*
All my bitspower fittings are on monsoon orings. First thing I did was take out all the bitspower orings. Haha! laugh.gif

QUOTE(Lucassss @ Mar 12 2015, 06:33 PM)
I have to agree. Bitspower just seem to have the lousiest O rings ever but I've never had any leaks with them. 1 reason could be because they're just stop fittings I used on top of my reservoir.

My Monsoons have the chunkiest and nicest O rings among all the other brands I've used.
*
I believe and feel that monsoon have one of the best orings in the market. thumbup.gif

where did u buy the monsoon o-ring? bought from oversea?
Huhu. i dont think there are problem with specific size/brand fitting. So far i have used, xspc and bitspower comp fitting, theres no problem (7/16 5/8 size). u should check the o-ring before assembling it, and just dont over tighten it. it should be ok. thats just my personal experience/opinion.
*
Yeah, got my Monsoon O-rings while I was still sorting out bulk buys for you guys. laugh.gif But if you can find similar grade (material wise) o-rings locally, they'll be just as good. Just don't get the size wrong or you'll have leaks all over the place.

Anyone use Bitspower G1/4 Thread 3/8" ID x 5/8" OD Compression Fitting - Silver (BP-CPF-CC3)?
Any problem with Bitspower G1/4 Thread 3/8" ID x 5/8" OD Compression Fitting - Silver (BP-CPF-CC3)?
*
Like Azilazwa said, there's no problem with any brand or size fittings. You can probably use China fittings and they'd be fine. You just have to check that they're not chipped both on the barb and the screw thread, make sure the o-rings are compressible and that you tighten enough. If you want, you can go a step further and make sure when you fix the tube to the barb, the tube is cut clean and sits flush to the fitting.

There's actually quite a bit to fitting design, and there are some that can and are better than others. And some are great, but a bloody pain when you want to take the tubes out.

Look like need to buy spare o-ring
*
You don't "need" to buy spare o-rings. Most of the coolers here have gone through multiple setups and multiple fittings without ever needing to change an o-ring at the the beginning of their build.

Ok
Just tot buy o-ring later will be waste on postage

If you're buying from overseas, O-rings won't add anything to your postage, unless you buy like a kilo. laugh.gif

They're as good as box stuffing if you're buying with other stuff.
