Hi guys, i'm a Preve CFE owner, 2013 model. This year the car give me a lot of problems, top overhaul, electrical, suspensions, brakes. Everything settled already. Thinking of trading it in and get a Neo CPS instead, i assume less problems, and also maintenance should be much much cheaper compared to Preve. Of course, loss of power but i really like the looks of Satria. Thinking back should have gotten Satria instead of Preve last time. Anyways, would you recommend me to do that swap?

For single drive or with 1 passenger, is ok.
Neo is a 'lowered' car.. going in and out u will feel different from preve /sedan 'tall high' car.
2 'heavy' long doors and bonet. (Door will close if on slope)
Slight underpowered in stock form if auto.
For some spare parts also quite abit hard to find and abit expensive (originals).
Drive feels also will be abit harsh compare to sedan.. sports car.. hehe..

But if u like the satria body and spirited drive and handling.. why not.. but take manual trans.

Are you willing to go through what you just did with your Préve again?

If you are and your heart is with the Neo, then go for it...if power is something you must have, go look for G Car Care...they have some of the R3 developed supercharger kits left which should make the Neo a lot better than the Préve...

Yup i'm not planning to get married anytime soon, even if I do probably have another 4 years till the kid can't fit at the back anymore. Power i think should be ok, i'm guessing the Satria is more reliable than a Preve. Didn't know spare parts is hard to find tho since it's an old car. My friend mentioned to me Satria Neo's are also hot for car jackers too in Selangor/KL. Is it still?

If you love to drive, then stay away from MyVi...

A good compromise I think is a Gen2 CPS...I would go for Waja CPS for lower theft rate, reliability and availability of parts..and most importantly, practicality...

Can be keep as 2nd car, weekend/or spirited driving when having family.
Power wise abit more than non cps engine. But since u already driven cfe, u will feel abit slow. Campro engine is a high revving engine, in neo, cps kick in at ~4400rpm.

Not sure about theft, but maybe getting hotter coz parts getting hard to find.

Ah and yes, practically is not in Neo.. haha..
Anyway, still got large enough bonet, flippable back seat.

Thanks bro...

Mine has always been serviced at PESC...so maybe that’s why it lasted longer...didn’t know it’s a common occurrence...

Open cam cover to replace gasket.
Leaking between cam cover n head.

New brown silicone gasket and new valve cover bolt bush.
No gum used. CPS head top is flat, no cam bearing 'bump'
Hopefully no more leak.

Hi, "cps a bit more power than non-cps"can d difference be felt when casually driving or must pay attention then can be felt?

How the reliability and maintenance of Campro or cps when compare to mmc 4g18?

It is very obvious…especially in gear acceleration and also when the CPS activates…

Campro has been around for years now…reliability is alright…just the IAFM module is known to be problematic

as above.
CPS has abit more power than stock campros.
the pulling can be felt especially when cps kick in.
cps also using higher Final Drive gear, so acceleration better. wink.gif

So cps use closer ratio than d normal Campro. Then cruising speed is sacrifice for acceleration

yes CPS activated at 4.4k (neo), 3.8k (gen/waja).
the kick in can be felt, but not as strong as VTEC.. coz CPS only on Intake side.. exhaust no CPS, so no vroomm prangg.. laugh.gif

Neo not for cruising one... brows.gif
