wif e66 ka? sure wan leh?
coz as far as i know, e66 need alot voltages after touching 3.2Ghz

the most OC able in new intel family were onli the lower-end type which is e63 & e64 rclxms.gif

E6300 & 6400 are most overclockable because they start from low speed from the beginning, so it's not surprising. Moreover, the chip has less L2, so that helps as well.
*
yess, u rite. back to the principle of overclocking here where the low multiplier, the more its overclock able rclxms.gif

Actually the current top P965 board OC even better than 975x mobo, so i can't see why u would like to spend extra for 975x board unless u going for crossfire setup  whistling.gif
*
u correct but, he wanna get those 975X becoz it support the quad-core kensfield i believe whistling.gif

QUOTE(irenic @ Sep 28 2006, 10:45 AM)
975 board has problem reaching high fsb.. while unmodded 965 boards can hit 500fsb easily..
*
u correct oso, average for 975X hit the wall at 385FSB, might solve prob wif latest BIOS in future wink.gif

*
not the matter of afford or not la geng
its in the fact, onli 975X able to support quad-core
