hows ur rigs?..if its ok then i follow ur rigs lor...how much izit for ur psu?is that enough for OC?
*
From 1.86GHz -> 3.01GHz without any hassle and running 24/7. The temps are a little bit hot on full load and my Thermalright Ultra-90 is coming to save the day.

My PSU costs about RM280, you can get a better one for sure, 500W and above is recommended. I'm using it because I transferred it from my previous rig and not gonna waste it as it is doing its job very well.

Don't worry dude, we are willing to assist you in OC-ing.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 i965P CoreDuo RM540
1GB Corsair PC5300 DDR 667 DDR 2 CL5 Value Ram RM440

Air-con will surely help lots in cooling your OC-ed rig, OC is not about pro or not, it's some sort of risk taking instead.

Yeah, your room will transform into an arctic igloo when using it. I guess you need some license to get LN2 in Malaysia.

dude...i hav experience lagginess for almost 2 sem at my apartment bcoz of torrenting.Iit is LAN based torrenting not like normal torrent tat UL n DL speed usually 10kbps(depends on seeders)...n guess what, imagine if i UL 10 or more items on tracker(if include other ppl torrent it can be more than 20)...n with no upload limits, the seeders is around 20 per time...imagine,w/o no UL speed cap....ur proc transfering 10mbps++ for each torrent u Uploaded....it really stressed my proc, furthermore my proc OC'ed and running 24/7 for almost 2 sem...
*
Network traffic won't consume a lot of CPU resources, the lagginess may be caused inadequate amount of RAM and constant usage of the pagefile.

Anyone tried out the new F7 BIOS? It seems that it doesn't come with any improvements except the support for Quad Core processors... What a dissapointment after such a 'long' wait, haha.

Is this PSU good enuf to OC E6300+GC??
Enermax EG365P-VE FMA 24PIN (350W)
thanks.
*
It's okay for some mild overclocking, I can't assure you about it too as the power comsumption depends on your hardware itself eg. mobo, graphics card, number of HDD & optical drives etc. It's wise to get a better PSU (500W is a sweet spot) as it provides you ample room of expansion in the future.

I guess 350w will be enough la, but have to see what kind of display card u have. If like mine all low end stuffs, only 400w PSU for oc to 2.8ghz  biggrin.gif
*
Yup, SLI-ed graphics setup will suck up half of the capacity of the PSU already sweat.gif

I learned from forums and of course from some friends too, it's purely driven by my curiosity in fact. As long as you're interest in it, you'll somehow put in some effort to lean and try it out. Cheers smile.gif

Intel had somehow changed their name of SSE4 to SSSE3 (Supplemental SSE3) and the real SSE4 is going to be implemented by their upcoming 45nm Penryn processors.
