i just watched SPL2 (a chinese movie) on popcorn time.

1080p, 2.6gb file.

can see the streaming at 1.5-2.0MBps using unifi 30 ethernet.

all smooth, no sync problems for 2 hrs.

I'm using maxis 10mbps with Ethernet connection. Vpn disabled. Tried downloading the movie first also same thing. Got audio delay. Subtitles sync with video but audio is not.

the vpn is supposed to help. but i found it no good.
so, vpn off is correct.

it is strange... the only thing i can suggest is to delete the app and cache, reinstall to try again.

I have freeze frame or sync problem few seconds into show. Pause, drag timeline to beginning and restart/play usually fix the problem. Maybe you can try if haven't...

Tried both also didn't work. Lol. Nicety gave me some tips also couldn't work. Seems like I'm fated not to use Popcorn Time. Anyway thanks for your help guys!

Just download Mobdro apk file from my skydrive or direct from Mobdro web site https://www.mobdro.com/

Click the APK in your box to upgrade to latest version.

Currently using Q16 quad core, just got myself a new Asus RTN12HD router, placed upstairs, the Q16 is placed downstairs, connected thru WiFi, would it be stable and good enuff with 30Mbps Unifi or should I get a homeplugs near Q16 connecting using LAN for more stable speed?

Thanks good to hear, will install the new router later. The std TM router (white and orange) without homeplugs seems unable to stream 1080p smoothly via WiFi.

you mean asus rtn12hp? good choice. just check yr wifi channel is not crowded by neighbors if they are on unifi too.

unless yr house is cluttered with lots of steel or iron bars, unifi30 will should do for normal streaming jobs, incl hd.

play around with the antennae positioning to get optimal.

the signal is the form of a "bubble" - get the best shaped bubble for what u want - sphere or flattened bubble, orientation, etc.

i hv the opposite - router downstairs, one q5ii upstairs wifi - good.

downstairs with ethernet, the q16 does even better.

I have 2 issues here:
1. Installed AOTG but can't launch coz rooted device?
2. Hypptv everywhere crashing

Any kind soul can help advice how to fix this? All installed thru playstore.

1). The device is never rooted from factory default, just download Root Checker from Google Play Store to verify.



2). Hypptv is not compatible with Himedia, I have shared this in this thread earlier. Please find below HyppTV supported device published by TM :

Yalo didn't root but AOTG say rooted so cannot launch

AVFAN popcorn time has been shut down permanently.

popcorntime.io, the original is dead.

but... popcorntime.se, a fork which has a better version for androids, is well and alive.

these apps do come and go, a matter of 3 months or 3 years!

as long as there is a couple of good ones, it's good enough for me.

at this time, i am primarily using:

1. hitv
2. popcorntime.se
3. mobdro
4. cloudtv
5. kodi

for those on unifi with hypptv, do explore hypptv if u haven't.

there are several new hd channels now incl red hbo, dreamworks hd, bbc earth hd.

hypptv is a good low cost iptv compliment to what u can get by streaming free on android.
