Problem with WoTHF is, you cannot dash out during the animation... so I change to FoT



Conclusion:

Cannot test in T6! Things dies too quickly!

No need. IAS in gears are pretty low ~ 7% per piece at really vital places like amulet, rings, gloves and weapon. Increase IAS via skill is better, STI passive ~ 30% IAS, 2-piece Raiment 25%, Alacrity 15%, DS - Fire rune 15%, etc.

ps: other stat such as CDMG, DMG %, CC are generally more important.

Another try with the new Raiment GR38...

In conclusion, I still like the 2-piece Raiment (500% damage previously) + 2 piece Inna + Crudest Boot + Depth Digger + Broken Promise = GG

That's really impressive Garbynator's CDR build? Serenity, Forbidden palace, Epiphany and Binding Flash, with Taeguk, cycle between them toughness enough even in GR52!

Quin C took over world #1 Monk in S2 @ GR 52.

Perma-Serenity, Gungdo gear - EP chain reaction, Lashing Tail Kick!

LTK has small AOE, paired with Gungdo gear is good for AOE.

PTR patch 3 is up. Changes are minimal to Raiment 1000 storms:

1. 2p bonus from 250%->300%
2. 4p bonus 50 spirit -> 75 spirit to refund a DS cache
3. 6p bonus DS damage from 8750% -> 12500% for 6 seconds (from 3)

The changes is to further minimised ping pong / too many DS. I don't know much about other class, it look like 12500% weapon damage is most damaging skill in game! EP cold rune only deal 6305%. Even Rimeheart only deal 10000% damage with 10% chance.

The damage may be huge, but it takes a lot to execute this. You need to build up spirit using the weak generator and DS hitbox is still considerable small although they increased it in patch 2.

And DS animation is half the time now! It's a lot faster.

Will test this...

After the recent balancing on Barb, they seem to be doing well around GR 53. Even in live, Sunwuko can get up to GR52. In 2.2, Sunwuko will get even stronger with Inna buff. And damage wise, Raiment still top any other setup. (It's the game play that sucks). With the new Spirit Guard bracer that reduced damage by 30-40% and pair with Moratorium and high LoH, Monk should be able to get to GR 53 and higher.

Just as high as any other toon.

If you don't have the complete (ancient) Raiment of Thousand Storms, you may want to focus on that. Ancient Flying Dragon / Furnace will goes nice with the setup. It may not be as efficient as Inna / Sunwuko in low GR (30-40), but mid GR (40-45) and high GR (>45) may surpass any other build.

New Sunwuko will paired with 2 or 4 or even 6 piece Inna. IMO, this setup will be GG in low GR (30-40). Large AOE and almost infinite spirit. You may still need your ancient Torch.

Some Raiment 1000 storms gameplay. DS can cause something from 800mil-1bil damage per dash. Please watch in 720p60 for hi-res and 60 FPS goodies.

GR 44. 74bil HP GR dies in 1 minutes 13 seconds. That's about 1b damage per second. This set is quite awesome in term of damage on single target.

It's kinda show that only John Yang really know the specific of Patch 2.2. Wyatt and Travis mind are not really focus on this patch. This interview make me believe even more than those seniors are working on something bigger like expansion. While Associates Designer like John Yang and Don Vu are working on the iterations on the existing game with patches...

Well, we will know something on Nov during Blizzon 2015!

A little sad that Travis can't even remember the set bonus of Raiment of Thousands Storms. But hard as steel, this set is going to be the DS set. Damage wise, it's good, as you can see in my previous video. It will be even more awesome if I throw in Focus and Restain set ring. But the game play, it is still a little too much ping pong.

Monk will get new set in 2.3, may be 7SS.

PS: Also, I hope they are wrong, but John Yang mentioned that Spirit Guard (Bracer that reduce damage 30-40%) will goes into Belt!!! It's not even in the PTR yet.

Another video on Raiment. This time with Focus and Restain. This set really goes well with Raiment. Dont be surprise to see 2bil damage per DS!

25bil RG dies in 15 seconds. That's average 1.6bil damage per second.

With 6 piece set, there is not much incentive to use RoRG. Based on the damage, Focus and Restain are worth it.

Yes.

Both Unity ring and Undying Follower are not rare. Most likely you will get your Undying Follower charm first since there are only 3 types:

1. Undying
2. 50% reduce cool down
3. Enable all skills

Unity ring, although not rare but because sheer number of rings, and you need 2 of them, will take some effort.

But they both are not consider as rare.

yes, that is the setup for solo. for t6, its possible to run without unity ring if your defence / offence is strong enough

however that is about to change start next Tuesday (7th April) when patch 2.2 arrived. if the changes in PTR remain as it is, i m probably going for Focus and Restrain set ring. Check out the damage difference in my recorded video a few post above.
