Anyone miss punching things in the face as a monk?

The 2-piece Raiment of 1000 Storms is pretty good now. I hope it will remain. Here is a pure and simply punching things to death build:

I was using Broken Promise with unoptimized gear. I tested Bashion of Will, it's pretty good too. But with Broken Promise and Unity, I can hit 128mil toughness (not including 50% damage reduction from Unity ring)

Since I got too much Toughness, I swap out Unity ring for a Holy SOJ. Much better clear time in GR 37! 10 min left

Me, are the one that like the Innament Punching build, together with F/R.

I can finally punch stuff to the death just like the old cookie cutter build

why my WOL EL sometime doesnt triggered the SWK bonus? even though the clone exploded already.. still getting normal damage range instead of SWK buff

this happen especially if you are belling under ephipany teleport, meaning you are belling facetanking..

feel like using VCK is much faster in killing elites then WOL

This is based on my observation, but cant find anything about it anywhere. Explosive Light damage comes in 2 part:

1. The clones that that fly out, this is the MAIN AOE damage. Huge damage. You want these to hit the mobs, hopefully it crit and with Sunwuko buff.

2. The bell that drop from sky. This will only deal a friction of the damage. So, even if it crit and with Sunwuko buff, you see low damage, even though it's already buffed.

So, you want dont want to drop the Bell at the mobs (if you using Tzo spirit stone). You want to drop the bell nearby. Hopefully the little clones that fly out hit the mobs.

I carefully observe all my previous recorded video and this is pretty consistent. In some rare cases where the mobs are huge, dropping it on them will trigger the same as dropping bell on the side.

exactly what i am experiencing

if i bell using force stand, the huge 100++m damage easily appear, but if i use bell on facetanking method via epiphany, it is so hard to get that huge damage.

im using the high cdr perma epi build, so most of the time i will be facetanking bell. because of this weird characteristic, i cannot fully utilize the epi build in teleport.

but if i go vck(which is not affected by the EL weird radius), i lose the huge AOE capability of EL..

solution? tips?

NO! This is not how I see it! I really like this change!

Your Spirit Generators increase the weapon damage of Dashing Strike to 8750% for 3 seconds.

This is exactly how I like it to be! Punch! Dash 3 times for a Nuke! Move on to next group. They even fixed the short range dash that doesn't deal damage!

Well, the thing is, I don't like Dashing Strike as a nuke.

(The same reason I don't like Raekor build)

Btw, 2000% buff is back on PTR. Last until 18 march if anyone wanna test.

from 500% down to 250% spirit gen damage.. 400% would be reasonable re-tune IMO

Problem with WoTHF is, you cannot dash out during the animation... so I change to FoT



Conclusion:

Cannot test in T6! Things dies too quickly!

GR 43 - Hmm.. Cant kill fast... may be i should swap out Simplicity Strength and Mirinae since my generator no longer deal a lot of damage...

is sick playing with monk, is almost few more percent will bcome perma god mode. i have long didnt play with monk and finally come back when a good buddie anklebreaker given me his GG ancient torchlight. walking in the park thru 42. didnt have 3rd socket on amulet which cow sponsor me last time , thank to the guy who sponsor the gear i finally can feel some fun back with almight monk. i copy the world no.1 gaby build, with a proper cycle on the skill, really can go almost perma invulnerable, tanking like a boss. i havent try on higher GR mayb it would become diff story
