QUOTE(kean89 @ May 1 2008, 02:31 AM) I just watched the movie. Freaking awesome. I'd watch it another time. I thought G-Force is there only because the weight of the jet plane? The suit is part of him, it should be minimal. The only thing that baffles is that, how does he counter the G-force while flying? Seeing the speed and stunts he does while up in the air, i think even the craziest Russian pilot maneuvering a Su-30 would pass out. I don't care what people say, this is my favprite comic book superhero movie of all time. Hellboy comes second, Batman Begins third. Enough said. |

QUOTE(incognito @ May 1 2008, 06:49 PM) i missed the nick fury cameo after the credits Yes, that's him. I've also seen him in "The Break-up" and "Elf". Also on TV in "My Name is Earl" and "King of Queens".overall the movie was awesome. some cheesy parts here and there, but nothing significant that detracts from the entire spectacle. anyways, pay attention to hogan, stark's big-sized bodyguard. thats the director right there. yup john favreau himself This is only his fourth movie. My wife and I really enjoyed "Zathura" too. |

QUOTE(Naota-kun @ May 4 2008, 12:51 AM) the plot's somewhat cliche. it's the same formula used for any 1st movie of a superhero movie series. they seriously need to change the way to present this kinda plot. i won't wanna be watching Captain America in 2009 with yet another similar presentation. He didn't direct "Daredevil" and "Wimbledon". Get your facts right. He did direct "Elf", and it was great movie. The only big budget film he directed before was "Zathura" which me and my wife love it.i tot Jon Favreau did a mediocre job only directing an action flick seeing his past accomplishments were movies like ELF, WIMBLEDON and the flop, DAREDEVIL. if the movie was given to another director with a more action movie background, it would've been a hell lot more spectacular and exciting. i saw the entire movie with a very familiar feeling. it was the same feeling i had while watching Ang Lee's Hulk. i hope they change the dir for the sequel. And I love all Favreau's work so far. I also love him as an actor, ""The Break-Up", etc and of course, "Iron Man". His appearance in TV sitcoms were fun too.
