Let's move on guys, focus. We are here to support the team regardless anything, of course we are free to give our own opinion.

remember this quote:
Bill Shankly : "If you can't support us when we lose or draw, don't support us when we win."

YNWA. Let's focus on upcoming matches.
*
Ooo, most of us moved on.

We know the fact for us to be in such a position, able to challenge for the trophy is a bonus

Well, to show you we moved on, here some laughs.

QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ Apr 29 2014, 12:49 PM)
what would you expect from plastic fans?

Chelsea used to play beautiful football when Zola was around, now? Masterclass is a word thrown around, losing its meaning.
*
correct

those were the days where they do have creative & few classy ones

since RA came into the picture, junked out managers like spoilt brat, 'masterclass' was replaced by 'reallylowclass' plastiq, i think tongue.gif

exactly. we cant be sour grapes everytime an opposing team plays safe. onwards, i say. find a way around that strategy! hold the ball longer, lure them out etc!

....but i'm not sure on how to handle the time wasting strategy sweat.gif
*
that one we need to learn from both chelsea & manu, heckle the ref, every time. though i can't remember us doing it (maybe serious foul)

QUOTE(wadefak @ Apr 29 2014, 05:12 PM)
so, what if all our coming opposition uses the same approach? put it into the next game, what if crystal palace comes into the game with the same approach?
agreed that we achieved the target, now its only stretching it. still it saddens me to see the title hope slipping right from Stevie's feet when we're so close to the glory, after all these years and when he is the only individual left in the squad that deserves it the most sad.gif
*
I think Stevie was carrying the burden of 24 years of a missing trophy for Liverpool and all their fans.

I know some said perhaps we should be more patient, perhaps Rodgers needed to be more pragmatic and cautious and maybe play to get at least a point. After all we just had to avoid losing in a big game.

I don't blame gerrard, I don't fault Rodgers. They wanted to cap it for all Liverpool and it's fans

Come it may, title or not. Liverpoolfc is still the best club and best supported in the world

Or we can blitz cp n magpies with a combined goal diff of 10+

I guess that will work as well

If that happens, it will be "investigated".

well, at the end of the day winning is all that matters.

And Chelsea didn't cheat (dive, simulation, etc.).

The strategy was almost laughably obvious. After just seven minutes both Steven Gerrard and Jon Flanagan had to visibly wrestle the ball back from Mourinho on the touchline, and Martin Atkinson was seen having a word with Frank Lampard after only 20 minutes over the amount of time-wasting. Luis Suarez's sarcastic applause of Mark Schwarzer taking his time to clear the ball during the first half simply indicated the frustration caused by the tactic.

You couldn't blame Chelsea for their approach, but it again invited a cloud of hypocrisy to surround their manager. Just a month ago, Mourinho publicly chastised a ballboy during Chelsea's defeat at Selhurst Park.

"The kids are educated to do this, but if a player hits a ballboy then the person who educates them disappears," Mourinho claimed.

"I had a chance to get the kid and the kid was cute and I told him: "You do this, one day somebody punches you."'

Yup, that included telling/encouraging staff personnel poke eye, and punching kid. Nope

QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ Apr 30 2014, 10:46 AM)
You see, Mou is Mou. He's hypocritical. He's a 'badboy' of sorts.

But none of those traits caused our defeat to them.

It's hard to swallow, but we were beaten by a superior defensive display against our toothless attacking display.

There's no point pondering upon this point anymore.

On the rumours of a Chelski fan spiting on the Hillsborough Memorial, I hope it isnt true. If it is, then I'll gladly place them in the same Ranks as manu fans.
*
yes, to chelsea fans it was masterclass, clearly mourino had instructed all his player to waste time (even mourning himself holding the ball in first half) to riled up liverpool. it wasn't even when they were not 1 up and towards the end of the game.

He knew liverpools eagerness to win playing football.

IN that aspect physiologically/play dirty/play not to spirit of things, JM is on the top of such tactics bar none. As i said, and everyone knows he is a bad loser, he hates to lose. that what drives him & he wishes that feeling drummed into all of his players.

We lost the coolness to be on top of things. Bad it may be. its a lesson. You cannot always win with better football. I know at least we are hypocritical about it. I have never seen any of our previous gaffers choose to delay/holding the ball/unsportsmen like behaviour. No red managers stoop to such low dignity

But Mourino wouldn't be wrong to say "we won, the better (masterclass) tactics won that day. we gotten the 3 points"

We move on, we are Liverpool, kopites who love football. I am thoroughly glad we never resorted to have mournino as manager. no class, maybe to chelsea it's classy. #acrylic cool2.gif

QUOTE(cherroy @ May 1 2014, 03:55 PM)
The difference is AM players were patient, and probing with passes, run behind defenders. 2 similar goals scored due to run behind defender.

While Liv players clearly were frustrated and lose patient and cool head by time wasting and slow down tempo act, hence make Chelsea defenders had an easy game of defending.

If the bus parking tactic is a blueprint how to play against Liv or an on form attacking opponent, then AM display is a blueprint how to slice open the parked bus.
*
Pretty much it. We made points why Rodgers got trolled by mourning. Well, thats Mourino tactics to you. If only we had the patience, we fell into the trapped laid by mourino, our blitz on the first half took out most of our steam.

I knew Chelsea will be undone by atletico madrid, Chelsea lost their real 'keymaker' for such games when they sod off mata (who was rafa friendly) to the red devils

QUOTE(markblurberry @ May 1 2014, 09:59 PM)
I stayed up late last night, to witness tactical MASTERCLASS..and indeed, it was...by A.Madrid...If i can write a headline, its got to be, No-Mour-Masterclass..yadda i know its corny...thats why am still a keyboard warrior...Benitez is master tactician, but Moan basically tell his team to - " ok lads, i need u all to be organize, dont lose your shape, make sure you are at least 10 yards away from half way line...yes at least 10 yards, better still no more than 10 yards away from our goalkeeper, as a referrence...I need player on the side to keep both flanks in check, close down any crosses into the box...and i need at least 2-3 players to close down opposition striker outside the box...and i need strikers to help out the defense..and if we do get the ball, pass it to either Hazard or Luiz..my tactics is Hazard to dribble out and Luiz to lump it upfield....remember well lad...." Its simple, anyone can be the special one....if you do as above, and make sure you have at least 300 million worth of talents to do the above, otherwise you'll be branded as Pulis wanabe....ohh..and it doesnt matter if your fullbacks are doing the 'rory delap' thingy...by launching long range missiles with every throw-ins...dont worry ppl, becos you have all the marquee signings, the fans wont accuse you of doing a Stoke....its master-stroke...my A$$...

tactical masterclass is what benitez did, some 5-6 seasons ago, when he is the 1st to introduce attacking fullbacks, double up as wingers, back tracking as complete fullback...that was masterclass, and over the years its adopted by many European clubs..of course i wont claim that Rafa invented it...probably just introduce it in the BPL, following barca's template....

As for A.Madrid, well they cut thru the Skis like hot knive to tofu....i helps if you have a player like Koke...his crossing reminds me of what SG used to do, especially on the left, with an inswinger..causing all sort of havoc...goalkeepers were damn if they came out, and damn if they dont....should get Koke...culd prove to be a master-stroke signing by BR...seriously...
*
In 6 months or so Rafa brought a (really) low confidence chelsea to win europa cup for them. While their fans still habour hatred for their then interim manager. Rafa simply knew their players and played their advantage and strength.

Mourning had a whole preseason, a whole better squad to prepare assault the premier league, the champions league, but all went down because mourino is unable to realise fully his players talents. A squad that could embarrassed a lot of top top teams.

LEL, Mata will tell the any players who think about joining chelsea, from Players of the year being drop to bench warmer and sold. What a unfortunate turn of event. I hope Willian and Salah see it coming when they decided to join them.
*
Well, many of them will be unable to turn down a high salary. I'm sure their agents will pshyc them into believing they is able to bring or compete with top teams for the signatures of really good players. I don't deny they can lure best players but it's really about who is at the helm.

Chelsea changed managers is like a ultra rich bachelor flirts top female models. But I suppose that's is good because in the long run there is no long term stability for them

I wonder what's in Ronaldo's mind (him laughing) tongue.gif tongue.gif

I think it like the case where the emperor has no clothes' phrase of mourino. He believed in himself, I think sometimes his own arrogance simply blinded himself.

2-3 years now without a trophy? Specialist in failure in the works?? If he only stepped out of his own comforts and he will see why he stumbles.

What I find incredibly funny is that here is your ex-players blush.gif , pretty much core members of 'his' squad being delightfully cheeky (Ooi what no respect kah? tongue.gif ) about their ex gaffer. Or exactly how they think of his tactics while even at Real Madrid. No? whistling.gif

I'm sure, if Real Madrid were to go and win the champions league final, there will be a large sections of Chelsea fans will say, hey that's (also) mourning's squad.

Laughable, [snort, snort]

Good thing about Rodgers is his humility, he knows sometimes his tactics may not work all them time, he changes, evolves it. Granted it still work in progress, it is certainly a upwards climb from 7th last season to be able to challenge for the title at this late stage.

We may or may not win it at the end, but it's hellava ride for us and all Liverpool fans loved the journey so far. thumbup.gif

I can think why hazard will go, Jose took pains to "nurture" him, in RM, at Chelsea.

Heap praises that if he work hard, he can be amongst the worlds best. Maybe a slight rotan but he won't do a mata on hazard.

Jose can't afford to do that. Selling Juan mata in the long run was a mistake. Granted they got a lot of money (profit) but I personally I think oscar isn't the same league as mata in big crucial games. Chelsea fluttered their season because of this

CR7, new achievement unlocked. Kung Fu side kick.

he is the a better footballer now and probably deserves the title 'best player award'

though he can't 'carry' the team (esp when you have lesser squad quality teammates)

Agree, Pulis knows we are desperate for win + goals and he ain't gonna simply let us run and shoot. Blues showed the world that a good counter-attacking defense can dismantle us, we better not over do it else we will be doing City/Blues a favor instead.
Haha, never really liked him but CR7 been unlocking achievements in RM like nobody's business, Ferguson got a really good eye/scout to find him.
*
if i remember we might too were scouting him earlier though not linked, if i'm not mistaken

we need to focus. We were too eager to hit chelsea & got derailed. Jose knew that & mind f@*k us.
It is for man city to win & we won't let them have it on the silver platter. thats should be our motivation.

We can't let that CP manager (pulls) use the same trick. said something like Lfc success is because we spent a lot.
