and they keep on bringing up 19th century football. if they watch West Ham game, it was 100% defending. no intention to attack or counter attack at all. throwing body all around to block all shots.
how many shots it was that day |

QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Apr 29 2014, 04:38 AM) Luiz can play as DM too but he is a much better Cb than Kalas. And yes, I suggested Vidal for Mikel. Costa said he dont understand what Chelsea fans was chanting that time » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « We will also have no problem with CL registration. So no worries Costa looks to be joining us next season. He already acknowledged our fans when we were chanting his name. Torres dribbled superbly in front of Atletico fans. The Costa-Torres swap rumour might be true! Looking further ahead, we need to think of Iva replacement. He is massive this season but he is not getting any younger. Azpilicueta can easily replace him in 2-3 years. By then, we need a reliable left back. Short term, Mikel can leave if he wants. People over WAGNH are suggesting Arturo Vidal. |

QUOTE(Ichighost @ Apr 29 2014, 02:13 PM) at ofc, cannot watch anyway .. Ba QUOTE 'We always have a plan, you don't just go out on the pitch and play the way you want to play, you always have a plan,' said Ba. 'Today it was to prevent them from scoring in the first few minutes because we've seen with every game they play at home they rush out and score goals. 'We had to prevent them from doing that, which we did in the first 15 to 20 minutes. Because of the way we play it's difficult for the other team to score.' Lampard QUOTE Lampard gave insight into the way Sunday's game was approached. 'We knew how good Liverpool are in the first 15 to 20 minutes and that was when we definitely didn't want to give them any space in behind us. Their strength has been their attacking force all season and we set out to stop that, and then we knew we could start to get into the game.' whatever they want to say and think, it's all in Jose plan. Add more salts to their wound, nah here is from Jamie Carragher itself.
QUOTE Jamie Carragher says supporters can't complain about Jose Mourinho's tactics - because Liverpool have done the same thing for years. "I've done it playing for Liverpool," he told Monday Night Football. "I remember going to Barcelona in 2001 in the UEFA Cup and we got a 0-0. We did exactly the same as what Chelsea did yesterday, we went there for our clean sheet. Johan Cruyff said after the game we were a disgrace to football. "I remember with Rafa Benitez playing against Chelsea, we played them at their own game. We slowed the game down, played direct football, never got caught on the counter-attack and never risked playing a ball into Stevie (Gerrard) or Xabi Alonso, as they had Duff, Robben and Drogba for the counter-attack. "You can't complain and say 'we don't play like that'. We've done it before and been successful at it. "You can't complain. Lots of teams have done it, we've done it, so get on with it and try to find a way to fix it." This post has been edited by eeki: Apr 29 2014, 02:25 PM |

QUOTE(melt @ Apr 29 2014, 03:26 PM) I dont think any Liv fans will be blaming Chelsea for robbing us the title chances but you guys definitely dented our hope of winning it. No doubt about that. Hatred seems the correct word to me, it may not to you. Sorry Hatred is a strong word so lets just move on dude. In the end result matters, you got 3pts and we lost but we will never stop believing with our team Look at the way majority of the post at your thread. Keep on banging every possible points, expensive squad playing defensive, roman spend money for boring football, 10 players within 25 yards box ...... it waaayyyyyyy derailed from Liv Che match itself. When it dragging too much, you know where its coming from. I've move on since after the match, maybe because we are on the winning side, we move on faster. Lets look forward for the remaining matches |

seriously benitez is master tactician?? i'm laughing on this statement.
i still remember swansea game capital one cup, we are 2 goals down, we are chasing the game. and the spanish waiter sub in 2 defenders for 2 defenders. what kind of tactic is that. you are chasing for goals, yet you sub in defender. marvellous tactic. we gave credit when its due, yes he brought europa cup. but label him as master tactician, nahh!! |
