QUOTE(joonwei23 @ May 20 2014, 10:58 AM)
actually someone in gh posted about getting that case + faceW from sprit.
I think he wants to do the side leds like gon's keyboards.
do you think it's possible ?  tongue.gif
sure looks nice eh  biggrin.gif
*
QUOTE(zennasyndroxx @ May 20 2014, 11:03 AM)
side led is possible. but not the imba side led like in gons.
I've asked some taobao seller selling acrylic case and they've pictures of side led.

seller said under the z/shift key solder the led while maintaining the z/shift key leds that's on top.
the leg for the top led must not be cut too short cause you would solder the led under the key with the legs on top of the key

he mentioned that the led will be dimmer but from that I can see the dim is not dim at all till it's really insignificant.

always try first before solder lol
kampua also not that dry sad.gif
gaji please masokkkkkk
*
oh yes. my pocket money coming soon doh.gif

QUOTE(hmwgbworld @ May 20 2014, 11:16 AM)
If the pcb doesn't support side leds and u want the effect, u can to sacrifice the led holes for switches by:
1. reverse mount the led, bend the leg and cut it to short enough without interfere with other components.
2. soldering smd leds.
*
QUOTE(joonwei23 @ May 20 2014, 11:23 AM)
I don't think the case has any space at the sides after mounting to the case. thing with gon's case, his case is diff. which is unique.
I've seen some people said to use led strips. but oh wells. I might wanna make some leds glow underneath tho. haha
*
like above he said.
it is still possible to mount led under the pcb.
there should be enough of clearance.
if not, use 0805 LED also ok.

solder 1 first.
then turn it on via plugging to pc.

Well I've read on GeekHack forums that another user encountered this issue, I just wanted to confirm if it's just specific people (in which case, I will RMA it) or if it affects other brands and majority of Filco users.
*
there is someone reported this issues back to few months ago.
there are quite a number of filco uers here i believe, but no one bothers it.

since pressing so much keys in one time is not practical in normal usage,
unless you always smash your keyboard with two hand. laugh.gif

Haha, I believe that person could be me. tongue.gif

I'm just generally curious and I want to know whether RMA'ing it will actually make a difference. Don't want to be without my board for a whole month and end up getting the same problems.

whistling.gif
*
you can try to rma, after waited for weeks still the same i dont know what will happen. laugh.gif
other wise, it is still impractical to press more than 15 keys at one time.

So does anyone here own a Duck board? I wanna know about the build quality and stability of it, kinda interested in getting either a viper/eagle later this year.
*
I suspect their factory is careless in handling.
A lot of dents over other keyboards in recent gb.

other wise, good thing.
good price as well.

Dents...that can't be good. Yes the price is good, but don't you think the orion is a *little* overpriced? Hows the build compared to the kmac2?
*
Why would it over price?
