oh i forgot to highlight when i use the word pray and declare  doh.gif

Usually i use the word pray as pray in the church, pray before eating meal, pray in heart etc, hold my hand and close my eyes, and face down...

for declare, emphasizing on voicing and heart attitude: the background is on the spiritual warfare, imagine you face your opponent face to face. and you have to say to your enemy get off ! ... you have no right to be here... this is belong to Christ... Begone. If possible make your voice whole, take a deep breath before yelling at devil's face.

As you are a worship leader, i assumed your breathing and voicing is trained enough to yelled so naturally declare is like yelling...

When i declare, my hand is not like praying and sure my knees is not bended. Usually i walked here and there and my hand and finger pointing somebody in front of me as if the devil is in front of me.

that's my insight and it's not a law okkk :-)

In short, Sabbath observation (old covenant) was over-ridden by the new covenant. but if Christian want to do so, it is okay but not to impose the same to other Christian, right?
*
New Covenant is all about living by the Spirit. I think PehKay did a very good depository on life by the spirit in his previous sharing.

It's no longer about "doing" but "living" the new Life. The Old Covenant has been invalidated by God himself.

Oh PehKay is he. Sorry I always though is she. Guess I am not good to identify some names  biggrin.gif

Anyway, it seems like OT law is harder than NT 'law' but actually NT is higher standard. For example, lust. So hard to battle it oh.
*
Isn't Pehkay a guy's name? biggrin.gif

Living by the Spirit is not about fulfilling the Law.
The Law of God has been set in such a way, the harder you try, the harder you will fail.

Why try to fulfill something that only Christ can fulfilled?

This is where many Christians are confused where they try to live a life of change thinking that is where it starts when it's not.

Aiyo.

Okay a little Bible sharing. biggrin.gif

Don't you guys know when you accept Christ, you have fully met and fulfill all the requirements of the Law?

See in Matthew 5:17, Christ Jesus said this:

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Notice the keyword there, I and to fulfill them? Who is that, fulfilling them? biggrin.gif

Why is it that God says under Heaven, In the book of

Isaiah 59:16

16 And He saw that there was no man, And was astonished that there was no one to intercede; Then His own arm brought salvation to Him, And His righteousness upheld Him.

And

Romans 3:10: As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;

Try to understand from this perspective. IF any of YOU are able to fulfill all the requirements of the Law, Christ need not come. Agree?
This means only Christ is able to fulfill the Laws of God. It would be redundant to say that Only Christ is able to fulfill the Law and then you try to fulfill it at the same time.

And He did! He completely fulfill it.

In Colossians 3:3, God puts your life in Christ.

Colossians 3:3 - For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

And again in

Ephesians 2:6: - And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

What this means is that all that Christ is and did, Like for example, The Fulfillment of the Law he imputed it into your account.

Here is the last proof.

1 John 4:17 (NASV)
By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.

So Rest and Breath easy.

Don't try to fulfill something you already did in Christ. biggrin.gif

Oh Yeah and about the Old Covenant being invalidated by God, here's the scripture verse:

Hebrews 8:13 - By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.

Why?

Because nobody could fulfill it. smile.gif

God Bless.

I think world vision overall still has some integrity.

there are some cases of corruption but we should not take the approach,

see 1 black sheep, blame the entire pen as dirty. That would be rather bias.

But then again, it's your personal conviction.

ohh. just curious smile.gif

no, I'm not coming la biggrin.gif

anyway to be honest I actually also avoid attend other church activity. coz sometimes dunno what they really doing, eg. clash of conviction. u know different church different practice. especially when come to those practice which is so contrary to your believe, it create insecurity and awkward.

maybe I'm wrong. do enlighten me smile.gif

We all have the same primary doctrine that all denominations (including Catholics) agrees that our Lord Christ Jesus is our savior,
He is the son of God and by his blood, his punishment, our Faith in Him, God credit as Righteousness and we have been cleansed of our sins and reconciled to God.
That can never be taken away neither argued no matter what, Christ Jesus is our point of unity.

Then we have secondary doctrines, for example like things pertaining Church order of service, speaking in tongues, healing, miracles, etc.
I leave Secondary doctrines to each personal convictions. I don't think it's right to force down people's throat with our own doctrine or judge with condemnation.
Why this is Rightly so? Because We all have different spiritual experiences and we all learn and grow differently from each Christians.

If any Christians says he knows everything there is to know about God and that This or That is how it's suppose to be, He deceives himself with pride.
There is No 1 person or any denominations that has the complete revelation of God word. God reveals it in his own time and will in long periods of time.
Look at how the Church progressed from the early days, the dark ages until now. If God is patience in giving revelations, I think we should be patience with people as well.

I've attended few denominations conventions, meetings.
All I can say is, We are all in the same body of Christ.
The Holy Spirit of God in us unites, never divides.

I can learn a thing or 2 when I attend different denomination's activity but I never stop growing.
It's hard to grow and learn when you keep yourself in the same spot, know what I mean?

What normally causes division is due to lack of knowledge and fear.
When you listen to people's words that teaches fear and insecurity it's usually the spirit of the Anti-Christ, not of God.
but don't let fear stop you because the Spirit of God in you is suppose to make you bold, not timid. Whatever people say, you don't have to be afraid,
the Holy Spirit in you, teaches and will guide you into all truth. Notice that it's future present tense? that means it's ever developing. It's not stagnant!

The Holy Spirit is our guarantee and comfort., when you hear the truth, you will know it. smile.gif

I wonder why, really, because the book of James does not discredit Grace at all.
