I want to see God Part 2

QUOTE
John 14:7 (NIV)If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."

The keyword is "FROM NOW ON".

In Hosea 4:6, God says, my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
This is very true of today among the body of Christ.

Many of us still have this wrong idea of who God is.
Some See Him as a Old Man with White beard and hair.
Some See Him as a grumpy Old Man, make the wrong move and out come his "Rotan".
Some See Him as Judgmental God.

People have all kind of ideas. But as Christians how do wee see God?

Jesus says FROM NOW ON, you know Him and have seen Him. And the apostle Phillip got confused and asked, Show us the Father.
Many times even as Christians we are like that. We see God differently as a Person of different character from Christ.

And yet Jesus says from now on you know Him. Why?
We need to see God as how Jesus wants us to see God. Who was with Phillip when He said "show us the father"?

Answer = Jesus.

How Jesus is, is exactly HOW the Father is. (John 14:9)

Study the first 4 gospels, about the Life of Christ. Personally I find Jesus as the most Gentle of Hearts and yet Regal and Kingly but yet He never hurts anyone. At the Garden when the Soldier wanted to capture Him, peter draw out his sword and yet Jesus told him to put it back. In another place when one of the High Priest officer slap Jesus and He did not retaliated. And another, when he was spit upon and hit in the Face, bleeding and swollen, yet He did not retaliated......you get the idea. That is how our Heavenly Father is!

Jesus says, Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

In another place, He says: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Do you see the word Gentle and Humble? Do you see how concern God is with you based on this few verses?
And Yet many time we think God is too busy to be concern of our petty needs. We only come to Him when all else fails and we think it only matters for the HUGE and IMPORTANT stuff.
We carry the pain and burden on our own, holding on against the pain as long as we can.

To really know God, you need to agree and tell yourself "From now on" How you're going to see God the Father is how you see Jesus Christ.
When you hold on to that kind of affirmation, The Holy Spirit will reveal revelation after revelation of God to you.
When you let go of all prejudice and misunderstanding of who God is and come to the place, AGREEING with what scripture says about Jesus as being the
Exact representative of the Father, you will have an unshakable Faith, firm in the foundation. On the Rock of Jesus Christ, the gates of Hell shall not prevail.

You will have that victory for so long you only hear of. Now it's yours.

God Bless!

IMO nothing wrong for them to earn a living from ministry. I know Israel Houghton for some time now.

There are many Christians Artists earning from sales of their Music. This is their rice bowl. But most Christians earn their money from the secular corporate world, working.
Music Ministry is also work. I don't see why this is okay and the next is not.

I've nothing against Christians being rich. My heart is free from this jealousy. biggrin.gif

All resources belongs to God anyway.

True also. Some write and sell books also. They gotta survive also. But i do feel that this concert ticket is quite pricey.

I think the problem is confusion of mind/heart. So are they 'working' or are they 'impacting people for Christ'?
*
Definitely impacting people for Christ. That I can vouch.

Their music are not only good but also anointed.

I've picked up some pointers on how to lead P&W from Him and others as well.

We got to take life easy. If we are so concern ohmygosh what they do with the money, they're buying bmws oh noes.
We won't be at peace, our peace will be affected by every little circumstances.

How I view this from Christ POV, mind our own business. Don't judge. biggrin.gif
I know that God is for prospering his children not against it.
From that basis, it should set our heart at ease.

That's good perspective. Thanks, i need that. Me too struggle with envy at times when i think about it.

God is for prospering everyone. (Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 35:27)
Including you.

The Principal is this. Don't set our heart on it.
Seek First his Kingdom, you know the drill. tongue.gif

We should be joyfully content knowing that God knows our needs.
When our heart is at rest, knowing that God loves us, money will be the least of all our concerns.

I don't think God is against our wealth. Just that, we need to reminded to remember the poor, honor Him with our wealth, not to be greedy, not to let money be our master. Just that the bible says, LOVE of money is the root of all evil, not money itself.

Recently, I can see this has become so real in my personal life. Property agent will do anything including changing owner's handphone number, so that no one will call the owner directly. Then advertise the same and then call owner so that they can earn that commission.

Even for myself even though I don't do the above, I fell into another sin which related to money too.

Indeed love of the money is the root of all evil. Let's guard our heard from it.
*
Just to add.

I believe God gives wealth so that you can start helping others.
You can't give from what you lack. Common Sense.
If you know God word, He's okay, in fact He delights in the well being of his servants.

The Church of Smyrna was commended because they stood fast despite being persecuted. (Thanks Pehkay for the insight)
Not because Jesus wanted them to be poor or commended that they should be poor.

It's a no brainer statement to think that it is because if that is true than one can say that the Bible also encourages Slavery or Rebellion against Father and Mother.

This is call twisting out of context.

Salvation of God is complete! Part 5

God's Promises are yours! 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV) For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

The works of the enemy is to sow doubt. To destroy, to keep you in disbelieve, so that you live defeated life, far from God.
The work of Christ is to sow Faith, to bring you close to God.

Jesus came and did many things unprecedented, his works, never seen before in his times. (John 9:32) Why?
So that you believe there is a God. None of the High priest, Teachers of the Law could. but Christ Did.

People say in John 9:33: If this man were not from God, he could do nothing."

And God gave us many blessings and promises in the Old Testament and the New Testament. Why?
Because these are to equip you, for the victorious life that Jesus has already proclaimed in John 10:10.

Many Christians are confuse in the sense that, Yes they know John 10:10 very well that Jesus came to give life and life more abundantly. But problem is,
they don't know how, why it's not happening. And some even think the suffering like poverty and diseases is God intended to be for the believers.
This are the saying of Man not found in the Bible.

My Friends. God has already given you. Not Maybe, Not depending. EVERY Promises of God IS for you to claim and they are a Resounding Yes in Christ!

Ephesians 1:3 says: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

There are teaching in certain denominations that teaches.

The spiritual blessings are only for Israel. No, Galatians 3:7, Galatians 3:9 AND 2 Corinthians 1:20 disproves that.
The miracles of God like Healing is valid only during Jesus days. No. John 14:12 disproves that.
It has never happened to me, so it's not real. No. Read Matthew 9:29 and 2 Corinthians 4:18 for better understanding.

The things are of God are very simple but powerful. but we Man try to complicate something simple with religion, reasons, doubts, etc.
That hinders what God wants to bless you with. No. Start claiming and stand upon his word. If you have Financial needs, start claiming God's will to prosper you with the purpose to share and help others! If you are sick, Start claiming God's promises of Healing! Whatever the situation, God's promises is there for you to bring you out!

Just this week, I felt the healing as I partook Holy Communion in Calvary Convention Center, all because the Pastor made a simple statement which is the truth.
If you feel unworthy to partake, Jesus Christ has made you worthy. I simply believe without trying to even reason. This week I felt Healing in my body for an internal wound I was affected with.

Praise be to the name of our Lord Jesus who loves us graciously with all his promises are YEA and AMEN!

God Bless.

Yea internal bleeding, cough too hard with blood, been many months, seen the doctor, complete whole course of med, took a lot of rest, drank a lot of warm water.
Lost my voice. Couldn't speak with proper voice for almost 5 months. It's a miracle how I was able to lead Praise & Worship.

Finally I told God, I've done all I can, seen the doctors, etc I rest in your finished work at the cross. Bingo Last Sunday Holy Communion, healing flowed!

Many things did cross my mind but somehow I had that warm hope, knowing this is nothing is too difficult for God.

I mean sure there were days I was assaulted with fear and all that, my emotions was roller coaster but that forced me to pray more consistently.

lol, God willing maybe not so soon.

I'm believing for long life.

Whatever happens, we should always be at peace and at rest with God,

that helps keep proper perspective in the long run. I mean if time to go, it's time to go, why worry about something that's not yours to control?

as Christians we shouldn't be afraid of death, it's just like stepping from this room to the next. smile.gif

Ok will pray for you.

Read the Book of Proverbs, it helps to reduce fear in Life.
Just follow it's instructions, that's all.

For example

Read proverbs 3
1 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,

2 for they will prolong your life many years
and bring you peace and prosperity.

3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight
.a

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.

8 This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.

9 Honor the Lord with your wealth,
with the firstfruits of all your crops;

10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,
and your vats will brim over with new wine.

11 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke,

12 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in.b

13 Blessed are those who find wisdom,
those who gain understanding,

14 for she is more profitable than silver
and yields better returns than gold.

15 She is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.

Yeah it is good to go for a complete checkup from the lung specialist esp the possibilities of pneumonia or tuberculosis (TB). Both are dangerous and if untreated can even cause death.

It's not. I don't have breathing difficulty, fever or chills. No problems with food either. Can eat fried stuff and don't have sore throat or pain. Which is really weird.

But thanks for the info.

If you think it's spiritual attack, I have been trained to declare Psalm 91 every morning.

There are few churches n ministry in indonesia that has enough awareness of spiritual warware. They intercede to stand in the gap for indonesia. These folks also has the same guide from Holy Spirit through local leaders: Declare Psalm 91.

Should try bro n cepat sembuh :-)
*
No wonder Indonesia quite strong now in Christianity. cry.gif

Malaysia who stands in the gap?

Ok, will make it my prayer for now, Psalms 91.
