It's a coincidence that i also passed my BTT today. JPJ will take your licence as you cannot hold 2 license at the same time. Hope it help.

Yes is possible. In Johor only. In malaysia land everything is possible with bribe.

legally, you are not supposed to hold a MY and SG licences.
in real life, jpj sometimes do not even bother to blacklist your license
says who?
i still have my MY license and i am very sure a lot of ppl here still do
the most is they will blacklist your license.
so u are promoting corruption?
and why only johor?
whole MY only johor got JPJ?  doh.gif  doh.gif
*
Because only JPJ Johor allows such thing.

I heard that is possible. I know someone that knows how to do it. But I do not support it.

I can take cab under company. rclxm9.gif So, dont need to drive. I know it is possible but my company is amo, so no corruption allowed.

you require the extract from JPJ to convert your license which all JPJ in MY should be able to do it and not exclusively in JPJ Johor.
you can even get someone else to retrieve the extract from JPJ on your behalf as long as they have the required documents and pay for the processing fee of RM10.
so JPJ johor allows what?

amo company corruption not allowed...non-amo corruption is allowed? what BS is this?
*
From what I had knew, JPJ will print this extract through one guy. You need someone to call him out first, then he takes about RM 200-300. He will forge a paper work with your details in it. He will ask you to test the thing by extending/renewing your MY licence after the handover.

Basically is just paper work which does not go through the database/official channel.

Regarding the corruption, that is your assumption to make such statement. I am just stating my company rules as most MNC company have strict clause about corruption, pretty common practice.

first off...the original question was whether one can retrieve an extract, convert the license and still hold on to their MY license.
u came and said it is only possible in jpj johor with a bribe, which i am clearly saying that is not true.
so dafuq with the bribe explanation

for the corruption case, i only started by asking if u are promoting corruption since u mentioned bribing jpj
you are the one that started saying because u work in amo company so corruption is a no no.
one does not need any company clause to be against corruption
from that, i am interpreting that you are just hiding behind some clause to defend yourself and you were the one who bribed the jpj instead of hearsay.
*
answer to your first questions is obviously yes. I dont know for certain if this can be done other than JB JPJ office. But I am sure JPJ JB does this forged paper work . I seen my friend holding both MY and SG licence. It is obvious that if i had known the process I must have known someone that did it before. Learn to read carefully.

Also please learn not to ASSUME people of doing such actions, nonetheless stating it in public. It makes you look very immature. First thing I dont even need such "doggy" paper work because I have an Australian licence. Why bother paying that money when SG accepts Australian licence.

Learn to hold back your words. Think before you make assumptions.

learn to write properly before you ask others to read properly.
you mentioned in johor ONLY...and bribes.
if you only know of one way and uncertain of others, then do not include words like ONLY which makes it a single option.

u know of such process because obviously you know someone who did it?!
u expect that kind of stand to hold?
knowing of a process can also be through experience..meaning you went through the process yourself
get the logic?
this is the internet...you can say what u want and others can believe what they want
u can claim to have license from every country in the world, and it is very much up to anyone to believe your claim.

yes, i am being immature and very anal with your statements because they are misleading...bite me then.
and like a lot of ppl have clarified, there is no dodgy paper work involved...and you are guiding people to support a corrupt system.
*
I was told that only johor can be easy.
I am just listing that one place that is certain that you can do such paper work.
If you want to know about other states, please look it up.

I know something that does not mean I had done it. Numb nuts.

It is up to you to believe if I have an Australian licence.

I am just giving my 2 cents. Bite you? you wish.

if u replied initially with the first paragraph, everything would have been clearer
others will fill in the blanks which u are unsure as u are stating what u know instead of making what u know the only single option available
and for someone who claims to not support corruption because one works in an amo company with strict clause against corruption to guide others to bribe is amazing...as amazing as our current government back home.

u said that u know the process because obviously u know someone who went thru it.
i am just telling u...it is NOT OBVIOUS because by going thru the same process urself, u also know the process
in fact, you will know the process even better
and i am nuts because of this  doh.gif  doh.gif  very logical

First off, just ask if you are in doubt in anything in life. I wont mind answering questions, even if it is a dumb one. I never believe in such thing as a dumb question, look more stupid assuming the wrong answer. I am just here to help, not to pick up drama. Never assume things and fill up the blanks your way, I dont have much time to think about so many aspects to my query here. It is not my job to reply forums here, I will try my best to reply based on what I know. It wont hurt asking ,"razo2, how you come about to know the exploit of converting malaysian licence to SG?" or "Does it apply to Johor only?"

But I cant accept people accusing me of things that I dont support. It is common news to know how these people get corruption, especially in Malaysia. I am just telling what I know, it is up to other people to abuse the system. Some people might like it, some people (like you) dont. I hope you can understand it is not only me that know this exploit. My friend dont join this forums and he knows how to exploit it. I was just curious how they manage to bypass the database in the government, but I often forget how easy it is for them to forge such things. Perhaps the clerk even got the administrator password to the database, i wont be surprised. I am the kinda of person that like to know stuff to the bolts and nuts. Apparently being a smart ass, is not the best thing after all.

Personally I dont like corruption, I had mentioned it in a sarcastic way on my first reply. Maybe it is hard to tell. My apology for that. You and I know how much we hated the corruption, but some people just like how grey matter help solve a lot of problems in life. Even I dont know about it until my friend told me, I must say I am lucky to be able to convert my licence easily with the Australian licence.

*
Is just a question about how they can sponsor you to get the job.

Most often time they use it to lower your hire price.

If you are a Malaysian, I think it is easier to get the EP pass. Experience people is a lot easier as well. Last 2 years, I know a few friends that were in Malaysian banking line. They manage to get a job in SG after a few years experience (minimum 2 years as far I known).

Not 100%. but word of mouth goes that it is easier. Maybe due to the culture. But then, there are so many of these crazy cases of people just dashing through immigration with a car (mostly Malaysian drug smuggler mules). Things might slowly build up a wall.

I am not sure if you understood my comment for that. it was for her statement about the work life balance culture here.

I saw alot of OCBC banks with very few people queuing. not sure if that is a good thing or not.

SG government is very kind. They will just fine him first, then whip him, then fine him again.

if you exclude the really ridiculous O&G, IB/finance, and mining pay that may sometimes reach 80k to 100k for a graduate (including their super and pre tax), a grad is only gonna pay around 15% to 20% tax.

so after tax it is still a lot. in terms of savings they may depend on your lifestyle (living further away etc) but since everyone here is talking about conversion, it is very possible to live comfortably in Australia without spending all your money and when you turn the rest into ringgit it is huge. before ringgit it's also very substantial
*
This is indeed a true fact for mining grads. The pay is awesome. So is the tax. lol.

if you do get ocbc, get their ntuc card...

others
standchart, convenient if you want an easy way to trade stocks with no  min. brokerage
maybank, if you want to connect your msian bank acct n finance msian properties
citi/anz/hsbc, for their credit card perks n free signup goodies

For engineering. They forget to mention that number includes OT. So, engineers can work on weekdays, weekends AND public holidays too (Sometimes with no sleep for 2-3 days too. HURRAY!).... we are robots with human tissue.

If only there is a way to transplant brains to metal body. Dont worry, Singapore government is already working on that with the biotech R&D.

Good reason why you should never ever trust your company employees or any other company in the future.

I know it is your good intention to tell others about your career advancement, but life is not as simple as it is. People can get jealous and stab you in the back.

Be wiser next time.
