QUOTE(LightningFist @ May 4 2014, 05:44 PM) Anyone who entered Singapore as a graduate, hope you can help me out with a question (not sure who to ask, I have Sgrean and Msian friends but not Msians who graduated and now work in SG friends) I got sg offer using my certified transcript and a letter frm uni saying i'm graduated while waiting for ceremony to get tat fat little big piece of paper. If you plan to get an EP (I am still in school now) do you need to have graduated already (the big piece of paper at the ceremony, about one month after my exams) or can you get it using a online printed and certified copy of your transcript (showing your name and grades). Thank you! Edit: I am not in SG but I guess I could call them from here when the time is right - if they entertain questions like this on the phone Yup |

QUOTE(Durian77 @ May 4 2014, 09:47 PM) The issue now is the ratio of Singaporeans/PR vs foreigners. The ratio also varies depends on the industry. In addition, there is also another layer of ratio for foreigners from different countries. Malaysians have a higher ratio, being a traditional source of talent. If you are earning above a certain amount, eg EP passes will need a minimum of SGD3300PM and S-Pass will have to be at least SGD2200pm and with the right experiences and/or qualification from a recognized university, you should not have problems securing this pass. They used to consider only the monthly salary but with the large influx of foreigners with questionable degrees, they have tighten things up and will reject those from un-recognized university even if the salary is high. If you have any question, I will be happy to help out. PM me |

I am getting a work permit only, heard that a lot of restrictions with that as well. DBS or POSB better, they r the same, means more ATM n convenient .Deposit oso less compare to OCBC. |

QUOTE(dD_se7en @ May 9 2014, 09:34 PM) Hi everyone, just few question regarding tax clearance for foreign worker, For Q1 p, i oso curious, but tax is based on yearly basic. Can u get refund if last time (few years ago) u were tax higher?1. Previously i worked in Singapore 4 years ago, and i have been tax by IRAS for around 5xx SGD, and if i return Singapore to work, will I able to get back the tax? I hear some rumour said can be refund. 2. If i working in Singapore now, and i decide to resign and join another company in Singapore, am i subjected to tax clearance? (work more than 60 days and less than 183 days). Thanks I have tried changing 3 company within a year. First 2 all charge me sky high tax rate but managed to refund back, but thats within same year. Dun ask me how, i oso forgot the whole process. It was 3 years ago. |

QUOTE(eclipsed @ May 11 2014, 08:57 PM) Just a quick question regarding obtaining an E Pass: I am Malaysian, recently graduated from a private university (accounting). If I have an offer for SGD3,200, will I be able to qualify for an E Pass? I understand that the salary requirement for an E Pass has been raised to SGD3,300. Is this strictly enforced? I took a self assessment on Singapore's MoM website and it says I am likely to qualify for both an E Pass and an S Pass. Not sure why this appears to contradict its policies... In any case, either pass will be sufficient right? Either pass will not affect u |

QUOTE(cherryl9 @ May 15 2014, 06:46 PM) thanks thanks !!! wow you are right. My company submitted my application on Monday and today they informed me that my pass is approved and so the next thing is to do is just medical check up. Yayyyyyy!! I think u mean postpaid?i am really really really really excited about this Singapore opportunity. YAAAAAAYYYY Now, i will go to Singapore without any pass, do my check up, then get my pass? Do i need to go to the customs to show them my pass after and ask them to clear my 30-day visiting day limit? so now, it's also time to plan for phone plan and all. Can someone shed some light on which plan is great? I have done some research and it looks like Singtel is the go-to company. I am looking to get a prepaid plan with about 2gb of internet and just so that i can get a discounted phone, prolly an Iphone. Any suggestion? Maybe if i sign up for a family plan, it will be cheaper? I don't want to spend too much on this though, hopefully below $40/month. Last time while i was shopping some Singtel staff also was handing out flyers with promotion like $49/month for high speed at home internet.. Is it a normal price range for home internet in Singapore? Sorry if i asked repeated questions. Just am recently active in this thread so am not fully familiarized with the "etiquette" here. Thank you in advance!! At least 40 per month if u want to come with a phone |

QUOTE(elmo666 @ May 16 2014, 07:21 PM) Hey guys. I need some guidance/suggestion/advice here. 1)not worth it, even u ride motor, u still need to stuck at custom for almost an hour, just imagine those exhaust smoke done to ur health.I just got an offer from Sg company and they offer me sgd2k for IT Support with 1year contract. Standard working hours, 830am-6pm. Btw, I got my parents' house in JB, and I guess I'm willing to travel everyday to Spore by bus/bike. So here's my questions: 1) Is it really worth the troublesome ( wake early morning *4-5am* everyday / facing traffic jams / long queue if using public bus ) ? 2) What is the best telco to use in Spore? Kindly enlighten me. Thanks in advance. 2)depends to area u staying. Different telcom will have better service at different area. |

The MOP is calculated from the date you collect the keys to the flat. It excludes any period that the flat is not occupied by the flat owners, such as when the whole flat is rented out or when there is any infringement of the flat lease. The length of MOP depends on the purchase mode, flat type and date of flat application: |

I went through 2 different company at the same time. Same industrial and same services. Latter company size is like 2 times bigger to the first one.
first one interview me 2 times and offer letter writes some bull shit which is not wat i want, reject. Took like almost a month. Ccb wasting my time. Second one, sunday i email, monday received call and go for interview, wednesday received offer letter which can meet my request. Conclusion : interview really depends to your luck Btw, my first job in sg after graduate, interview through phone oni. Never went down to sg. |
