actually the 30 days limit is per entry or 30 days per year? can i re-enter singapore and get 30 days again?

so I dont have to worry about tax issue right, since the employer will withhold my salary and pay, just afraid that the tax issue will affect my future ep application.
*
30 days per entry max of 90 days (a year) continuously or something like that, they will give you only 14 or 7 days if you keep doing JB and coming back to SG to renew the 30 days. Also you CANNOT RENT HDB when you are on your visitor pass so its hotel, motel or sleep on the road side.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? Not working and staying in Singapore, SG not cheap you know, or you want stand on the streets in Geylang ? brows.gif

Is a degree class holder consider high class, low class or medium profile for singaporean firms? jz wondering..
*
"If they cannot find jobs, what is the point? You own a degree, but so what? That you can't eat it. If that cannot give you a good life, a good job, it is meaningless,"

http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/...on-wan-20130505

So to answer your question, degree holder = no class tongue.gif

biggrin.gif Macam a little misleading leh...

According to the link it should be...

Degree holders who can't find job = No class tongue.gif
Anyway... I think depends on industry la... For me in construction, as of my experience, a fresh grad degree holder is just like a medium between lower class (construction workers, site supervisor, site coordinator etc) and the higher class (the boss and client)

Like the fillings of a sandwich  cool2.gif  cool2.gif  cry.gif
*
Remember cheaper, better, faster ? (pick all 3 not 2 biggrin.gif )
http://www.ntuc.org.sg/wps/wcm/connect/173...1b2f75ef3647d50

Degree holder not cheap, better nor faster smile.gif

Or there might be too many degree holders OR too few jobs going around for them hence the statement.

Been working here for a year+.. Means a year I did not touch my car and go back frequently.. Honestly $$ drives me, some of my peers contemplating to return back get married, family all. But I dont care, not family orientated. Perhaps the only thing i miss is driving. Been taking bus to work all while haha.. How do you guys cope with this? Stay emotionally mentally strong, at least for 5-10 years
*
Either sell you car (road tax and insurance = $$$) or let someone else who need a car use it (when you go back then can use it for that duration). If not later like my car, cannot jalan and force to be scrapped it biggrin.gif .

Singapore motto - Cheaper, Better, Faster - If you checked all 3 requirements, confirm you get the job smile.gif

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Oct 6 2014, 01:47 PM)
Talking about Starbucks...

I can only say it's cheap here. Not the case of dollar for dollar. In M'sia, earn erm... for eg. RM3000 pay RM20+- for a starbucks, that's 0.67% of monthly salary. In Singapore, take 10% off the salary, around 2700SGD pay 7SGD+- for a starbucks, that's 0.26%. In short, someone working in SG can buy 1.5 cups more starbucks with the same portion of their salary (in %) tongue.gif Not hard to see why most starbucks in SG is full with people all time. But I do see some starbucks in more hidden areas with much less people. Better environment to have coffee break.
Thinking that way is wrong. You should think... Earn more before kena fire/retrench/replaced by the elites/talents. Kena fire/retrench only find jalan back M'sia biggrin.gif
*
Talking about coffee, was it Papa Rich or some Malaysia kedai kopi in Singapore selling dollar to ringgit for a cup of coffee (SGD10 = RM10) shocking.gif

Anyone here knows a good and affordable place to learn mandarin besides community center?

Didn't know you can learn Mandarin in the community center (you meant the Resident Association (RA)). What other activities ? only for PR / SG citizens only ?

I don't know the job market in Singapore. So you meaning to say average earners get 12k a month? or is it consider high pay?

If i put 12k a month then the position more senior and more expectation? I want to work in middle management not high management.

Some more these positions are common or not?
*
12k SGD or 12k RM (+- 4.8k SGD) ?

If 4.8K++ should be fairly normal for middle management (60-108K annual)
http://www.hays.com.sg/cs/groups/hays_comm...hays_139198.pdf

If 12K++ SGD then you need to ask the elites here. Mostly all if us here are cheap labour < 5k SGD a month. sweat.gif

Want to ask you guys, usually when you apply jobs from msia, which site do you use?

Monster.com?
Jobstreet.com?

Do you buy the Saturday Strait Times to look for job?
*
Cari pemburu kepala. For high $$$ easier to find headhunter (or they find you), most of the job ads for cheap labour. smile.gif

Hey guys, do the causeway bus pass by Pelangi Leisure Mall??

The nearest stop is Plaza Pelangi??
*
I think you need to take the local JB bus from JB sentral (walk from CIQ), not sure if there is any bus direct from SG.

Wah like this i scared la. What if I ask for lower SGD 5k in Singapore, then work 3 years decided to return to Malaysia, then the HR people only give me RM6k?

Die lah wei.
*
Bro, don't think so much lah. Come or don't come, you ask ask so much then no initiative no use smile.gif .

Since you have dealing with SG companies, ask to do transfer to SG (if options available ) if you fear so much (at least you can balik if you can't take it). Once you conformable living and working in SG then you can start looking for long term. Some companies in Malaysia have SG short term transfers where you still get pay in RM but get SG allowance
- use that to try and figure out if you want / like in Singapore.

Work here 5 year = work in Malaysia 12 1/2 year (2.5). Work 10 year balik retire buy house, land, wife laugh.gif

You need to actually be here and experience it as all of us here have different experience which may or may not relate to you. smile.gif

Golden mile got Vietnamese wing and Thai wing wink.gif .

There is a convenience store inside 2nd floor (If I remember correctly) which sells all Vietnamese stuff and a Vietnamese bride shop on the ground floor on the left side corner.
