Any ad remover for this version?

nothing yet.. even the registry setting won't work anymore..

how to remove the ads:

1. Find the file C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Cache\urls.xml
2. Clear its content and save it (as an empty file).
3. Make the file Read Only.

the ads are gone, but the white empty space still remains there. let's hope someone will come up with a better solution

don't know. I tried them but not working for me.

to communicate between WLM and Y!M, both the Y!M and WLM users must activate/register for the test.

Feel like this version is a little buggy. It has been "hang" for a couple of times.

tried to download this patcher n install..
while unzipping, they say tis file is dmged.. any ideas?

When I DL-ed that patch, it kept stopping before 100%.
I had to resume several times till it finally got to 100%.
But it works nevertheless.

Did you use a DL manager?

why does this new YM 8.0 sound are just so... hideous

the message alert and buzz sound, along with other alert sound have change, for the worst...

Seems like the new build fixed my "hang" issue.

By the way, the ads free patch is available for the new build already?

How come I'm missing all the featured-plugins? I didn't even install one, my-plugins is empty

Tried the ads free patch for previous on the latest new. It works!

it works since its replacing the new 701 build with the 683 build

click help -> about yahoo messenger and see it for yourself
thats why maybe you're getting that hang sympton again

YM not so reliable...google talk better...stable and not memory consuming.

Beta is a testing version and non-official release. Latest build will fix loopholes and bugs in the beta or earlier version/build.
