Trying to get my hands on them. lol.
*
Haha somebody on the previous AMD thread is already aiming for this since i told him a AIO/G10 combo needs extra VRM heat sinks to work. Kinda weird NZXT itself isn't doing it..

Lol chill boss. Boleh datang anytime. Haha.

Hello guys.
Any comment about Asus R9 290X? (Normal edition, non oc and DCU type)
What is the market price for this card? I can't find any online seller selling this type.
*
Let me know if you find one. Been hunting for a reference unit for months. Sigh.

The normal edition (reference) costs around RM2499 or so, if not mistaken. It is loud, runs hot and you may face some throttling issues when the temperature target is reached. DCUII basically fixes all of the issue with the reference card, and according to Techpowerup, it is their favorite non-reference rendition of the 290X. smile.gif
A local shop in my place still has a unit of Asus R9 290X reference. brows.gif
*
How the hell does a normal reference card cost so much? rclxub.gif cry.gif
Was expecting 1.9k plus. Sigh.

Where's your place btw? haha.

If pay more for 290X Tri-X, usually comes with hynix but the price more expensive abit. Reference board and you can sell the coolers heh
*

I plan to use reference card with waterblock. no more heat problem at least  tongue.gif
single R9 290X is enough to power 2 monitors for gaming right?
*
Waterblocks FTW.

One card should be able to power up to 3 monitors. Triple 1080p should be fine.

Can it outperform non-ref GTX760?  tongue.gif
There's more to that. The game pool is much bigger now including Indie game and some "Classic" games.

True. But Titan Z is more for power computing rather than gaming anyways.

And id take that as a yes. Post benchmarks when you do get it please. rclxms.gif

Just got 1 piece of Sapphire R9 280 Dual X from viewnet with RM919. But when i reach home, found out HDMI cable was missing. and the GPU-Z still showing 7900 series instead of R9 200 series. Is that normal?
*
The 280X is basically an overclocked 7970. So maybe your GPU-Z sees it as a 7970.
Refer back to the sEller about the HDMI Cable though.

See? Told you edi Aquacomputer sure make a block for the 295X2.

user posted image

The design is ingenious. Most other dual core blocks uses the same flow to cool both cores. This uses seperate flows.
