Guys, i just bought used MSI R9 280X TF. One thing that bother me is the temperature. On idle is about 45C, while on full load about 82-87C + im not sure. I thought Twin Frozr should be running cool than the reference.

Does my card faulty? And what is the normal-safe range temperature for R280X?

Bf4 I got stuck at like between 120-130 fps max lol, even at low settings wtf. Oh and I think my pc is not using the 8gb ram, only using pagefile. I disabled pagefile and try to run crysis 3 and crash immediately lol

TITAN Z was supposedly going to be released on April 29th, but according to SweClockers plans have changed. The only question is, why?

NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN Z launch postponed because it was slower than R9 295X2?
Before we get into details, let me just make it clear, that the following clocks speeds are not final. Some etailers already listed TITAN Z with product specs, and their data seem to confirm it (check below).



As soon as I learned the clock speeds of TITAN Z, I was quite surprised. Those clock speeds would not make TITAN Z competitive against R9 295X2. We would be looking at 180MHz frequency drop compared to original 780 TI. Unless the cooling system would be efficient enough, the boost clock of 730 MHz would not make this card any faster. Leaked listing reports on TITAN Z with 6GHz memory modules. However official source GeForce.com does report on 7GHz.

At least the memory size is where TITAN Z really shines. No gaming card has ever featured 12 GB frame buffer. Of course this is the total buffer for both GPUs, so very few applications will benefit from this. Upcoming DirectX 12 will most likely provide some improvements in memory affinity, and TITAN Z is theoretically compatible with the new API (actually it’s even listed with DX12 support).

also what settings did you guys set in the config or console?

tried to use fraps (i know there's a warning at the start) and it showed i got avg 90 when i'm only using a single 7970

Hmm... can you guide me on this. I'm not familiar with the tools you use and this is more or less a "video" instead of a benchmark "program"

set the config file to 1920 and 1080 and full screen to 0. rest no change
open the 64bit file
at the start of the video, i press F9 to benchmark(radeon pro tool). then press again when the video shows the UE4 logo.
grabbed the csv file and drag into fraps bench viewer
the result :

everything was unchanged except for the resolution change and fullscreen. wonder where i did wrong?

UPDATE :
using the in-demo FPS tool, the FPS counter stayed around 40-45 until the dude stands up. then the counter was 35-40. then when outside that "dungeon" and the video views the iceman, the counter was 20-30. can't trust fraps?

Im starting to think my CPU is faulty. Im getting like 60% CPU usage on Hitman Absolution Benchmark with abysmal FPS, just manage to stay above 70 FPS. And Battlefield 4 like constant 90%+ CPU usage on DX11 and only 48p at max. Should I do RMA ah? The CPU is already clocked at 4.3GHz and it is the same CPU usage at stock

i get the error message " amd display driver stopped responding and has recovered" everytime when i startup my laptop (sometimes will get Bluescreen ) and i can't open the games.
I tried uninstall and install the driver still same.

Any sifu here can teach me?
