So far enjoying the new gfx card. A big jump for me from Nvidia 5 series card. On load 70C for my powercolor R9 290 pcs+. Using 14.4 beta drivers. Any better recommended drivers?

I would like to ask actually what is the 290 'correct' core voltage in 3D?

I used GPU-Z to monitor, during full load, without OC/OV, the core voltage is only 0.99X-1V, now even i OV +100mV, under Furmark stress, the voltage only around 1.074V...is that means actually my PSU is not enough juice or the onboard VRM is poor?

I noticed that my card OC capability is quite poor compare to those massive result on internet. I only managed 1110 core with +100mV, but what i saw over internet these speed seldom need any voltage increase.

Anyway my PSU is Silverstone Strider Essential 600W 80+.

I'm using 27" only and it's 1440p  . Crysis 3 graphics really

Well that is on air-conditioned room plus open case . But still great. Hope it's enough for most games

It's currently on auto. i saw around 83% fan speed when at full load though. Not much of an issue as i'm on headset

94C is really unacceptable honestly. The components will degrade really fast and the whole damn card got burnt. It's close to 100C.. you can boil eggs you know.

If that's the case i think we can all safely OC till it hit 90C? Lol but i don't trust marketing talks. I've just had my MSI Twin Frozr on fire. So much on Frozr lolx.

We felt 94'C is unacceptable becos since our childhood the '100'C can boil egg and water' theory adi embedded in our mind, so we feel uncomfortable when we see the temp is high...and those GPU/CPU partner just take this opportunity to introduce high end cooler to grab some money from us.

Silicon is silicon, can't compare with water and egg. Actually alot of those tiny semicon devices, the chip Tj max is around 150'C. So no need too worry for that.

Like latest Intel CPU, the max temp can reach 100'C before it start throttle, the Tj max is rise and rise since P4 era, compare to long time ago when the AMD Duron CPU burn into smoke when the heatsink is detach during operation. Technology had advance, so i don see any reason to doubt about it.
