That's why i said will try reinstalling haha. At first was my cpu problem. Out of the box it pumped 1.7V into my 4770K. Madness. Then also like you, pump power connector loose, heat went up like nuts. Solved both issues plus two leak incidents. Thought ok edu, now GPU problem. Sigh.

Sigh again.

the 14.8 is older than the r9-285 driver. Catalyst 14.8 and 14.7 RC3 is rock stable for me too. gonna try the leaked driver nao.

New beta driver, credit to Asder00, Alex(Leshcat) and Freeibooter. Previous beta driver was rock solid in my system.
Hopefully this one will make my GPU explode so i will have a reason to change it.

One guy posted this driver improved his Flight DCS performance so i'm eager to test it with rFactor 2.

damn , A10 7850K + R7 250X really give me a headache , took me like 4 hours to troubleshoot and make the standalone card working properly lol . No more buying APU for me !!!

was thinking of getting 970 or even 980 , but since r7 250x able to max out Dota 2 and this is a budget build , it seems like i dont need that high of a GPU lmao , but yeah in future when i sell of this budget build , i gonna get a 970 or 980 and this time  NO MORE APU (they really sucks IMHO!! LMAO) . And for the problem is that , APU mobo runs using Catalyst , so means i have to install my Standalone GPU Catalyst to make it working , took me 4 hours to realize such a simple mistake , i even go through reformatting (LOL i know right) , but yeah overall , lesson learned !!

holy crap i just installed 14.9 and it is AWFUL. I can't load up games anymore and my computer only partially shuts down. Why do they release drivers wiht unresolved issues! Anyone else having this problem??

just because each sides are constantly in competition and they release their flagships on diff time of the year, so it can kinda look like "omg Nvidia GTX900 beats AMD R9!!" but they conveniently forget that R9 series is previous gen GPUs (months old since launch)

as for reliability and quality, thats wrong to say too since ofc every manufacturer aims to bring the best quality lest they have their reputation tarnished. driver reliability wise, AMD and Nvidia have their fair share of 'lousy drivers' so you cant really say which side have the bad driver support.

in short, there is no need to go for specific brands unless youre opting for the special features that AMD/Nvidia can provide. for example, i take Nvidia for their GPU Boost 2.0, Physx, reference cooler design and Shadowplay.

eh that score were really sky high even for r9 290 CF  .. and its only at stock clock wtf?? what cpu they are using? i7 5960x??

GPU/Graphic score, not overall score. In arifhasim85 screenshot the graphic score is 24k which is higher than the benchmark.

oh can u teach me how to OC ... it seem my gpu can't go over 1,100mhz... and mem can't go over 1,410mhz it start to show  graphic tearing so on.. no crash yet.. but i have not done voltage increase...
