QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ Aug 5 2014, 07:36 PM) Nope i also have run outta fittings as well. Sigh. Monsoon fittings flake off paint like nobody's business. Now my loop is extra weird. cstkl1 It's pump-cpu-420-290x-240-res. And will do, but not now, i am scared to even open chrome now. It hits 85c right away. @.@ Damn so expensive but quality like that yet so expensive Btw do u double check the gpu core really touch the block properly? That day my pump's power connector loose & caused the pump stop functioning the temp still not that worst as yours This post has been edited by llk: Aug 5 2014, 07:43 PM

QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ Aug 5 2014, 07:47 PM) That's why i said will try reinstalling haha. At first was my cpu problem. Out of the box it pumped 1.7V into my 4770K. Madness. Then also like you, pump power connector loose, heat went up like nuts. Solved both issues plus two leak incidents. Thought ok edu, now GPU problem. Sigh. Sigh again. First time is like that laa, learning curve, will become better soon

I wanted to try it last night but Asder00 still uploading the files. Will try it tonight. I seem like have problem with this driver, whenever my pc turn idle it will never turn on unless by resetting

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Sep 27 2014, 02:00 PM) New beta driver, credit to Asder00, Alex(Leshcat) and Freeibooter. Previous beta driver was rock solid in my system. Hopefully this one will make my GPU explode so i will have a reason to change it. Lol...i installed already but make no different with the previous leaked 14.8

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Sep 27 2014, 02:37 PM) One guy posted this driver improved his Flight DCS performance so i'm eager to test it with rFactor 2. I tested with 3dmark the score slight lower than previous leaked version

I'm using 4770K previously, actually not different with 4790K. Here is the result as requested, CPU stock clock, both GPUs Core clock 1000mhz/Ram 1300mhz This post has been edited by llk: Sep 27 2014, 05:22 PM Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(pspslim007 @ Sep 28 2014, 02:12 PM) was thinking of getting 970 or even 980 , but since r7 250x able to max out Dota 2 and this is a budget build , it seems like i dont need that high of a GPU lmao , but yeah in future when i sell of this budget build , i gonna get a 970 or 980 and this time NO MORE APU (they really sucks IMHO!! LMAO) . And for the problem is that , APU mobo runs using Catalyst , so means i have to install my Standalone GPU Catalyst to make it working , took me 4 hours to realize such a simple mistake , i even go through reformatting (LOL i know right) , but yeah overall , lesson learned !! True, if u didn't play those high 3D graphic intensive games like BF4, Metro etc then should be sufficient

QUOTE(abusive123 @ Sep 30 2014, 09:44 AM) holy crap i just installed 14.9 and it is AWFUL. I can't load up games anymore and my computer only partially shuts down. Why do they release drivers wiht unresolved issues! Anyone else having this problem?? Now in office, will only able to try it after work, however just rough went thru the thread in OCN, seem like few issues there. http://www.overclock.net/t/1516033/amd-cat...vailable-now/20

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Sep 30 2014, 10:53 AM) Ask llk which driver is the best for his CFX setup. Recently very bad luck, don't know is me only or other also affected, i have problem the monitor was unable to 'wakeup' after idle, everytime need to reset the pc. So now my solution is disable the monitor idle after certain time.

QUOTE(kizwan @ Sep 30 2014, 02:49 PM) Some people is having the same problem. I don't though. I think it's combination of hardware for thing like that to happen. I found this only happened recently with the new released beta drivers, old driver eg 14.7 never happened like that.

QUOTE(marfccy @ Sep 30 2014, 09:32 PM) nah it doesnt just because each sides are constantly in competition and they release their flagships on diff time of the year, so it can kinda look like "omg Nvidia GTX900 beats AMD R9!!" but they conveniently forget that R9 series is previous gen GPUs (months old since launch) as for reliability and quality, thats wrong to say too since ofc every manufacturer aims to bring the best quality lest they have their reputation tarnished. driver reliability wise, AMD and Nvidia have their fair share of 'lousy drivers' so you cant really say which side have the bad driver support. in short, there is no need to go for specific brands unless youre opting for the special features that AMD/Nvidia can provide. for example, i take Nvidia for their GPU Boost 2.0, Physx, reference cooler design and Shadowplay. Very fair comment indeed

QUOTE(arifhasim85 @ Oct 6 2014, 02:04 PM) eh that score were really sky high even for r9 290 CF .. and its only at stock clock wtf?? what cpu they are using? i7 5960x?? here are my score for comparison, (i7 4790k - 4.8ghz, r9 290 CF - 1170core, 1400 mem) [attachmentid=4160269] http://www.3dmark.com/fs/2890667even if i oc my gpu to 1200 core, i dont think i can reach 1900 score in fire strike .. or my system got faulty aa? Your score is definitely correct, mine also getting 17000++ when oc to 1200mhz, something wrong with the score from that benchmark

QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Oct 6 2014, 08:16 PM) ahaha yeah.. i know my Rig is look cheap what to do, im like "need fast rig but minimal fund" oh can u teach me how to OC ... it seem my gpu can't go over 1,100mhz... and mem can't go over 1,410mhz it start to show graphic tearing so on.. no crash yet.. but i have not done voltage increase... Bro don't misunderstand, i'm not meant that, just that i'm so surprise price for 290x vapor-x drop so much. Anyway, u need to increase the voltage & power limit to get the stable oc, MSI Afterburner has limited additional core voltage increment (100mv), for extreme oc u might need to use Sapphire Trixxx, it has additional 200mv core voltage increment. Since u now have 2 cards, u should individual test each card oc capability, amount of additional voltage might be different for each card.
