Who's The Current Best Dota Player In Malaysia?

There's never been this sort of award but in the view of you pro gamers, is there currently a stand out best dota player in Malaysia?
There are definitely many famous and well known good players such as Paulyan but that is mostly due to the fact that he's the wcg winner for solo player game. (Not saying he's not good in dota) But are there any other better stand out players? We all know there's plenty of strong teams and we don't even know which is the best. What about clan players? Not bnet solo players  |

imo i think in horus ss2, forgot what nicks but atm since he's in melbourne he goes by the nick sharingan - 5.84 pro.
his 2 brothers plus himself and 2 other friends, lol i remember winning streak in horus cao cao like 95% win percentage..too bad he slowed down on dota to play WoW lol |

i have actually never see any really superb dota players in the 2-3 years of my life playing dota, i have joined countless of tourneys, and no players are really that OMFG WTF BBQ, i have seen CS players like that but not dota, although i have seen good players, no one have i seen reach the "great" status.
btw, i think i have played with Odin before, and no, he's not that good nor among the best, lol. |

And DOTA is not designed to be a 1v1 game, its teamwork that counts. anyway so far, only a few games with players that made me go "WOW, WTF??" kinda expression hehe. |

There is this one player however.. who for some unknown reason I don't see being mentioned in this thread.. perhaps they have forgotten about the era where he was undeniably the best player (skill wise) in arguably the best team in Malaysia... And people literally feared (no pun intended ) being in the same lane with him as an opponent.. Perhaps it's because he isn't playing anymore... but please remember that it was this dude here who played no small part in team GAYA's near total dominance of the Malaysian DotA scene back in the v5 days... his nick? -- > feaRz aka yourworstfear

although its too bad in malaysia unlike singapore they have 1v1 tourney that way its easier to tell that i am the best player but nonetheless unofficial title is good enough as long as everyone knows i am the best i am happy already  |

Let's get cooperations from SMM and WCG, so that they can set up a database for players and dota fans all around malaysia. From this database, we can accumulate all datas of all players from major league. Get their stats, in game kills, in game assists, in game death and stuffs. Gather them up and fix it in a table of points. Do it like fantasy football, where everyone gets their Budget $$ to buy players. Fix up your Fantasy DOTA Dream Team, and see each time who gets the most points. Objectives: promote dota, expose the scene with more informations (players are really undervalued), make profit <b>Fantasy dota Dream Team</B>. p/s: Pay me royalty for the idea. and if anyone has budget and want to start a project like these, ring me up. i'll setup database. |

i not agree this.. i only can say every team have their own key player and the key player is the most pro player for their team (at least they member will agree this) Instead of saying who is the most pro dota player in malaysia.. why dont make it like this.. Who is the most pro farmer player, who is the most supportive player... categorize it will be better to rank it...
I think the most pro farmer player in malaysia is: Bz-DrooLz eNet|PaulyaN` their farming skill are superb... P/S:there is no point to find out who is the most pro player in malaysia... because Team Work come first for DotA, Even if you have 5 super pro player in ur team, without team work, your team is like shit.. Most of them are still studying and not fulltime gamer. Maybe a few, but very few. Until more money is being circulated within the gaming industry rather than the occasional SMM tourneys or WCG that offers prizes that will convince people that spending their time on gaming is worthwhile,I believe that we'll never achieve an era where professional gaming is common in Malaysia.
The fact is,there are people with interest. Just that there isn't any reason to allow gaming be more than an interest. |

They battled through lots of hard battles eliminating Enet and both Blitzone's teams enroute to representing Malaysia to the ACG finals 2 weeks ago. His Akasha and Chen is very well played and seems unstoppable. Xtinct is another solo player of the team. He plays a wicked Pugna that always make the right decisions in team battles and is a force to reckon with when he solos with it. Sowhat is mainly SK's sandking player is until recently the most underrated member of them . Until recently when people started to study WNSK , most teams may notice that the number of times "Lucky escape" sand king did in escaping tight situations and epi blink at the right time is not pure coincidence but skill only people start counter picking sand king in drafts to avoid him using this hero. Well as we all know , player skills individually do not make a good Dota team by itself. Their teamwork is top notch , approaching what Enet achieved during their prime at the version 5 era where theres always an extra hero in support of retreat or ganking attempts. All these comes form countless hours of hardwork and self reviewing. From what i see in this tournament , very few of the teams in Malaysia right now has the strengths to match them right now. Hope the community can prove me wrong in the WCG finals this week. But for now , congratulations for WNSK for winning the SMM Grand finals and 30k richer. From what i see from the ACG replays , Malaysia still have a lot of catching up to do with the rest of the region's top teams. The lack of use of chicken and townportal in most of the teams puzzles me. Sorry to say that but i think we are still not there among the best in Asia . Well i do hope we can increase our standard in the future and take back our rightful place as the most feared dota playing nation. As for Winternight , i reread my review and maybe the last paragraph of my review really exposes your team style too much at the middle of such an important tournament. For that i apologise. But your style is well known to all since your memorable game against Enet in the Selangor qualifiers so its not entire my fault you lost your game =). |

First of all i want to give a thousand praises to underminer for his hardwork and uncondition sacrifices for reviewing each teams matches and the purpose of doing this can be clearly seen is for the best of every dota teams to another level to compete with other top Asian teams.
I personally want to appreciate underminer for his marvelous interpreting of each team from the start of smm toruney in each state till now. Malaysia truly need such person such as underminer so that our dota community will continue to grow .Im touched too when i found out that he did all his work from 7pm to 1am just to let the competition more even. I hope that underminer can give some comments on the quarter finals, semi-finals and of course most importantly the final round which is WN-SK vs WIZZ1.Finally, i hope that underminer will continue to give more comment or feedback to our dota teams in malaysia and dun give up on what you are doing now .... from what i know there are a lot of your fans want to see your imbaness in intepreting each team, keep it up!!!! |

As what mentioned by underminer, i just want to give some comment on WN-SK for their hardwork, countless time of pratices and preparation.It is just my oppinion, i hope i will not offend anyone i vote for WN-Kyoshi : GREAT FARMING SKILLS and denying at a high level with the opponent's clutch players with .His Bane elemental is very well played and did a great job at supporting or even in team battles. WN-Angel : He backs up the whole team in battles and is a hunter of enemy heroes most of the time while not forgetting to farm out some great items along the way. His Akasha and Chen is very well played and seems unstoppable. WN-Xtinct: always make the right decisions in team battles and is a force to reckon with when he solos with it. His pugna vs BZ1 qop and VS proves that his farming intensity. He did a great move in the 13th min for those who want to see some individual skills. Another chain move from Pugna and Chen heal occurred in the 19th min where Pugna did another fine piece of move to get the upperhand of the opponent. Wow I was at klcc convention centre earlier today watching the matches. It was funny as one player from each match was shown on the big screen. I saw blitzone 1 playing against cybertime 1 which blitzone won by quite a margin towards the end. Was watching bz - nud DrooLz on the big screen lol...nub?
It was pretty even from the start but towards the end we could see cybertime was desperate as they started group pushes which blitzone 1 succesfully defend with the bone fletcher(DrooLz) and queen of pain(DK) gettin most of the kills. Pugna(Woo) was pretty buff too while bane and vs were doing their jobs as supporters. Only character buff in ct1 was the syllabear(teletubbies), he had radiance but it wasn't enough as blitzone 1 clearly won. Besides this match there was also another very interesting match between MMORPG and wizz 2 which wizz 2 won by 1 point! What a close match. Didn't get to see the heroes as i was watching the Blitzone match. Gonna go again tomorrow to watch the semis and finals! |

i cant really agree tat u can point out who's the best. coz i know of some pro players who play private servers using official rules. thre's even a fren of mine who plays on official server. but none of them join tourny, coz of study. all in uni. duh~ i remember watching a fren who use Sniper, somehow, 1 hit and 3 opponent heroes died. none of them are in the red zone. |

The main issue about the teams not fully utlising from the townportal's and chicken are mostly because they're costly?
Its just the difference between gameplay.Some may think that they can get back 135 in 1 minute,but if u dont use the 135 each 5 minutes and u earn another 370 its a different amount already.PLease correct me if i'm wrong. |

1 hit 3 opponent heroes DIED? you'll never see that in competition in the world, wherever, I think. Actually, how can you tell if your fren is pro or not if he does not join tourney? nobody knows who he is and nobody can clarify if he is good. he or his team must play against a good team as a yardstick to be able to know where he stands.
i'm from Melaka and I went to watch a Uni closed tournament and saw Blink 1 performed really well. They went on to win the Uni tourney. I thought they were really great. Then i went to watch to watch the SMM state finals, they almost beat every team without a sweat. BUT they get a trashing, very badly, by WN-SK in the final of the state finals. I hope you understand what I am saying, it's a lot harder to farm and gain exp in tourney's, maybe because i am a noob that's why i think the timing of the tourney players is good. BUT they get a trashing, very badly, by WN-SK in the final of the state finals. I hope you understand what I am saying, it's a lot harder to farm and gain exp in tourney's, maybe because i am a noob that's why i think the timing of the tourney players is good. You get gank out of nowhere. Maybe your friends should maybe once play against one of these teams. |

hehe, i guess there's always surprises in tourneys. like in the wcg, i was surprised wnsk didnt go far. they only went till 5th round?
i was surprised that mmorpg(edit typo) chose furion and that was the right choice to go against team with such great team work. the furion tele and backstab is very effective. but how they lost in the later rounds i havent watch yet. but then again wnsk showed that they are still not trembled by the constant back stab and came from behind to go few kills and 3 towers ahead. later on, i don know what happened. they didnt work like b4 in the last 5 mins which cost them their tower and kills This post has been edited by kenlimfornication: Sep 7 2006, 08:42 PM |

well i havent watch the replay of mmo against wizz2 either but they lost by 1 point only! i just finished watching bz1 against ct1 that time and that time was like 1 minute left until finish time and wizz2 was leading but at that time mmo was breaking the rax they managed to break rax which puts the point at par but then 20seconds before the game finish 1 person died which make wizz leads by 1 point
that time the mmo people already cheer up and even jumped from their seat -.-" but then when they saw they lost by 1 point they were quite frustrated i cant even explain his gesture that time but it was funny haha |

Best Player I have seen so far (non Malaysian) --> Merlini (singaporean)-excellent at farming and leads team very well. Try downloading his replays at Dota-Allstar. If you cant find it, I will post it in my blog for download or PM me instead.
